"At another stand, they found an employee's half-eaten hamburger in a warming unit."
I'd say the employee deserves praise for cutting his/her lunch short to get back on the job.
Not to mention they are endorsing their own product.
I wouldn't consider any macro-brews to be considered "safe".
"Inspectors cited one location 11 times in the past six years after seeing employees who didn't wash their hands."
This probably sounds a lot worse than it is. Obviously, I can't speak with any amount of certainty, but every time they take their gloves off, they are supposed to wash their hands. So, even if a glove breaks and they are just putting on a new glove, they are supposed to wash their hands. They are also supposed to change gloves every 2 hours, which would require another hand wash. So, it's not necessarily a lack of washing hands when they should be.
If their hand looks like that, the glove is what is protecting you, not the washing of the hands. I am just pointing out that numbers without context are used to sensationalize an article. I think we can all agree with that at the very least.
If there hand looks like that, they should not be serving food period.
Or even they're hand.
I didn't know where to go with this one. Ultimately, I upped you based on the assumption you're being cleverly sarcastic.
+ 1 to you for clever sarcasm recognition.
Here in DC the Verizon Center got 100% on violations. That almost seems harder to do than to avoid. Primary cause was rat droppings.
It's great to be a Wizards fan! Between Gilbert's gun antics and our questionable-at-best food situation, what's not to love?! I'm surprised LeBron didn't come here.
Sun Life Stadium, Miami, Florida
In June 2009, an employee complained anonymously that small insects and other debris were blended into frozen alcoholic beverages at a stand where equipment wasn't being cleaned. When inspectors checked, they issued a critical violation for a buildup of slime inside the frozen drinks machine.
Note to self: If ever at a Miami Dolphins game, don't order the daquiri.
...the protein daiquirí , please.
Probably not reading how you meant it to read.
Name your time and place Sailor.
If we read as intended, it's not that big a deal, there are bug parts in all the vegetables we eat.
When I worked at a cafe, we got cited regularly because our sink wasn't set up to sanitize. Never mind the fact that we had a sanitizing dishwasher we used instead.
That said, roaches? Toxic chemicals? Get on the ball, people.
Knock on wood!
...because somebody, somewhere, and some point and time did something REAL stupid!
I'm guessing my kitchen (as well as the majority of the rest of you) would not pass inspection. If you have a wood spoon, wood cutting board, or plastic measuring cups......fail.
That said, if you order Sushi from the food vendor at Comerica Park, you've earned the right to shit your brains out for a week. Stick with the safe stuff.....chips, nuts, pop, beer, and hot dog.
What kitchen is yours exactly?
in his house?
Yes your kitchen probably would not pass (You don't wear gloves when you cook do you?). I know my has rotten food all over the walls near the trash can (gotta love living with 6 other people who don't clean). However, the regs are meant for kitchens that handle a lot more food (there's a difference between handling 4 and 4000 chicken thighs at once).
How's the Big House doing in regards to food safety?
The Big House only serves precooked foods, so you should be safe. Keep in mind, even hot dogs should be warmed to an internal temp of 165-170 degrees. This will kill any harmful bacteria that may be present. Hot dogs should also be held at at least 140 degrees.
remind me never to eat at a stadium/arena in florida ever. ugh.

Apparently, the Lions aren't the only ones losing at Ford Field ;)
Maybe the players eat the stadium food?
