In the event that you haven't been to the Ann Arbor Bridges site, the projected opening date (for traffic) of the reconstructed bridge is November 14th, with all aspects of the project being done by May 2013, although the project is supposedly a little ahead of schedule.

Many of you may have already known about the bridge -- it closed last November  (although OP's reminder is a good idea).

What you may not know (and I didn't) is that Stadium Blvd is torn up in various places from Washtenaw over to the closed bridge.  Apparently, they took this opportunity to repave the street.  Many lanes are closed.  So, if you are planning to park and tailgate near Stadium and S. Industrial and walk around the closed bridge, you should notice that Stadium may not be the best approach to the area.

I'm sitting at the Caribou on Stadium at Packard.  You can easily drive up the street now, but if/when any traffic at all arrives, it will be a mess.

My daughter walks home from Pioneer and cannot use the bridge.

It looks like they are getting closer to done, as in there is actually a bridge deck instead of gaping space, so it may open for pedestrians before cars, but that is just my uninformed opinion without any sort of insider information.

That is in fact probably your best bet to get to PiHi.  Main will be a parking lot, and without the bridge, people are going to cross State on foot at Granger to walk through the field hockey field, which will block that up.
