Stadium audio

Submitted by litwild on
First time poster. Has anyone noticed the lack of audio in the South end of the stadium? I've sat in all areas of the stadium over the years but have had season tickets in section 19 the past two years. Does anyone know if they amp up the speakers for the students on the North end? I don't hear anything coming from our end. Just wondering if they even have speakers in our end, or if it's just me. ps. Loved that the band came over to our section and section 17 to play, They didn't do that last week.

Hmm that's a bummer.. For reference I sat section 4 on the south end and didn't have any issues today. There could be some weird acoustics working against your seats though

Man we had an awesome game of flag foorball before the game lots of running around. I also forgot my weekly shower and was going to take one when I got home. But it started to rain during that flag football game and I figured why bother good as a shower. I think that draft beer from the Keg Party two days ago gave me some nasty gas I was farting the whole game long in that stadium but the wind was soft but just enough to carry the smells away. I do need to get some new tennis shoes they are 3 years old with a couple holes in them but my feet were aching after the running around maybe it was because I didn't wear socks and my feet were kinda making fart noises so I blamed my shoes for when I let one rip.

All in all it was a great day, as for the sound? I dunno I guess nothing really bothers me.

plays a part in the volumne that arrives at your seat in the South end of the stadium.

The volumne is not an issue, its the wind direction and that varies in intensity and direction every game, because weather!

I know last year when opposing teams bands were at our stadium that in the south endzone we couldn't hear the UM band. Just MSUs and OSUs. It is a problem in the south endzone when we allow other bands to take over half the stadium

There was defintiely something wrong with the audio.. We are in the club, and there was no audio coming out of the speakers in the club.

We had a hard time hearing the officals and the pa announce.

I haven't been to a game in a couple years, spring games and other stuff but I was there today. I had awesome seats on the 50, home sideline and thought it was strange the sound was only coming from the north end. I looked and thought I saw there were speakers on the north scoreboard but not on the south. (The grey boxes on top of the scoreboard) I can't say what it's normally like, but I can say cherish every opportunity I have to be there

Slight change of subject, but does anyone know the (AC/DC?) song they've played in the first quarter the past two games (it's not Thunderstruck). Today I think they played it right before one of our kickoffs.

Wasn't TNT, I know that song. Wasn't Back in Black, either. The intro has a driving beat sort of like Thunderstruck, but it's not that. AC/DC was my best guess based on the lead singer, but the vocals didn't come on until just before they cut the song off. Heard it last week, too, and it's bugging me because I can't figure it out.

I have season seats in section 8 for last two years. Pretty sure the sound only comes from the north end zone scoreboard. Seems like when the wind blows north, it brings the sound out and you can't hear anything.
