Spring Game Questions..

Submitted by CollegeFootball13 on
How exactly does the spring game work? I've never been and was wondering if I could get some information. There are no tickets that need to be purchased, correct? I can just show up at 8am and go on the locker room tour and watch the flag football game as well as the spring game? And I can leave and re-enter the stadium as I please? Does anyone have any tips for a first-timer? I'm really excited and want to get the most out of the experience. I'm bringing the girlfriend, too. If she wants to be in a relationship with me, she'll have to be in a relationship with Michigan Football. Thanks for any information you guys can give me, I appreciate it :)

Doesn't matter. Go back a couple years Mich vs. PSU, you remember when Super Mario caught the game winning slant. My girlfriend knew I'm obsessed with Michigan football so obviously she took it upon herself to root for PSU. Not a big deal at the time I thought it's PSU who cares not matter what every year we beat them. So I ridiculed her for a little while for rooting for PSU. Come a few weeks later I invite her to watch none other than Mich vs you know the school. Well again she rooted for the other team underestimating my deep passionate love for Michigan and utter despise for the other team. Ofcourse we lost, oh that would have been so sweet, and she ridiculed me relentlessly. No more be said we are no longer together and I have been dating her best friend for the past two years. So i agree 100%, BTW I'm not saying break up with her if she doesn't like Michigan football my situation had many more issues, But my girlfriend now loves Michigan sports.

Truly, I do. Allow me to relate my own: My current girlfriend and I met online. We started dating while she was going to the University of Minnesota and I was living in SF. She is not a sports fan in any way. The second time we met in person, I went out to Minnesota. It happened to be the weekend of the 2006 Michigan-Minnesota game at the Metrodome. I was absolutely shit broke at the time, so we just watched it at a local bar. Ostensibly, she was rooting for Minnesota. Of course, Michigan dominated that game and I needled her all night. She pretended to be annoyed, but it wasn't a big deal. The third time we met, she flew out to SF in late November. She sat and rooted with my old man and I as we watched Michigan lose to OSU at the 'Shoe. I was despondent, of course, but that's OK. The fourth time we met, she flew out to SF for New Years Day. She sat and rooted with my old man and I as we watched Michigan lose to USC in the Rose Bowl. I was even more despondent after that game, but also, that was OK. Several months later, she came to SF in the Fall of '07. She came to the local M bar with me to watch the Michigan opening game against some random school from North Carolina or something. This was quite possibly the worst moment of my life. The next game she watched with me, she flew out to SF and my old man and I went to go watch the #2 Cal Bears play unranked Oregon State. My dad and I root for Cal on the west coast. Of course, Cal lost. Had they won, they would have finished that day #1. At this point, I was beginning to think she was a FUCKING TERRIBLE JINX. I threatened to break up with her if Michigan lost the next game they played that she watched. Luckily for me, M ended up winning the MSU game in '07, and I didn't have to dump her. Then we randomly won the Capitol One Bowl and I figured I could forgive past sins. The end. (Of course, then she moved in with me just before the '08 season, so let's just say I'm EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS. I haven't told her, but she's absolutely on notice. If we make a bowl, I'm investing in a ring. If we don't, I'm investing in a one way ticket back to Minneapolis.)

It is very strange that all the responses have been about the minor detail of the question- and completely avoided the question. I too am going to the Spring game for the first time and would love to have his questions answered. So, forget about the chick already and tell us about the game.

The fact that he has been dating her best friend for two years makes this a post of the year candidate AFAIC. Talk about someone getting what she has coming to her.... Besides, would you rather read twenty more sarcastic comments about Denard Robinson's speed?

The game is free and you should be able to come and go as you please. I have no idea what the deal will be fore the locker room tours. I imagine it will be free as well but you will prob. have to wait in a long line to get in. As for parking, I know Pioneer usually charges $5 (that was two years ago) to park and it is a toned down version of gamedays. I imagine the golf course is closed but there is parking all around the stadium for a nominal fee. I'm sure you could find a spot for free in the neighborhoods off of 7th north of Stadium.
