Spring Game Prediction Thread
A little history of the Spring game-
Last 10 Spring Games
2001 White 28 Blue 21
2002 White 27 Blue 17
2003 Cancelled Due to FieldTurf installation
2004 Blue 24 White 20
2005 Blue 34 White 18
2006 Blue 30 White 26
2007 White 42 Blue 41
2008 White 23 Blue 19 Invite-only held at Saline HS
2009 White 73 Blue 32
2010 Blue 49 Maize 37
2011 Blue 14 Maize 7
The Blue team leads the all-time series against Maize (formerly White) 27-26. They took the series lead back last season. Maize/White has won 3 out of the last 5, but Blue has won the past two.
The teams will be organized like last season. 1st team offense & 2nd team defense (Maize) vs 2nd team offense & 1st team defense (Blue).
My prediction: Blue 17 Maize 14. There will be one defensive touchdown.
Hope to see the receivers do well because that is a huge question mark heading into this season. Also want the DL to get some "sacks" (when you touch the QB, the play ends).
Your predictions/hope to see do well?
wins....

I'm afraid I'm going to have to predict a loss for Michigan, even on their home turf. The combination of Denard Robinson and Jordan Kovacs are just too much to overcome, sadly.
It will be inside.
this would suck... but what can you do?
the winning team scores more than the losing team.
if not the game will be indoors and closed to the public.

It will be fine.
Denard ties his shoes and stops throwing off his back foot. Also he's even faster.
"ties his shoes"
Blasphemy!
Me and a bunch of my buddies were going to take a trip to AA for the game like we do every year. But the weather looks aweful. Should we just stay and watch it on Big 10 network? Or say screw it and come down anyways? Thoughts?
Angelique tweeted a few minutes ago that if the weather is bad, they're moving the game indoors and closing it to the public. Up to you whether or not you want to gamble.
That would sure suck for anyone making travel plans
My buddy just left a couple hours ago from NY. That would suck.
I'm in the NY area also and had been thinking of going - never considered they might move it indoors.
It will still be televised on BTN regardless of outside or inside (which is probably why they're making the decision 6 hours before game time, so they know where to set up).
80 degrees and sunny.
*snort*
The wings win tonight, and I have a horrible time at the wedding I'm going to tomorrow because I can't get drunk because I have to work on a bunch of projects for grad school on Sunday. WHOOO!
Ridicuous Overextrapolation: 81

That will cover Big Will alone.
Big Will will cover the spread by himself? SWEET!!!

Severe weather my ass. Give me a break, I sat through Michigan vs northwestern in 2006. The whole game. Through snow, sleet and rain while half the stadium made an early exit.
If people can't handle getting wet and cold, don't come.
It's more the sudden discharges of built-up static electricity from clouds to humans.
I did too but lightning is a different story. Considering the stadium is on top of a hill and everyone is on metal benches, you can't blame them for being cautious
I think it will be fine. What I'm looking at is scattered showers on the site I use.
2008 bro. I know, because I was there.
Michigan vs northwestern in 2006 was bad also. Both 2006 and 2008 had really shitty weather.
I think you mean 2008. There was no snow or sleet at the 2006 game although it wasn't particularly nice either.
I remember that game very well, as I left my poncho in the car. I was one of the few to stay the whole game
Man, those RichRod spring games sure had a lot of offense! Or did they not have a lot of defense?
Too soon man, too soon.

They were evaluation-point scrimmages. Not "scoring" as in games. But at least your comment gave me a chance to say that.
I predict that in Purdue's spring game all 22 of their starters will tear at least one ACL, and that Robbie Hummel is somehow included in that.
/I don't really want that to happen
So last season's opener was my first since moving back after 5 yrs in Arizona and it gets cancelled part way through. Now my first Spring game in even longer, and it could get cancelled too. I must be the bad luck charm. Sorry guys.
I had a dream last night ( I blame the BTN for replaying last years OSU / Michigan game and the 05 game) I was at "The Game" this year and I got there late into the 4th quarter and Michigan was up 63 to 35. When i walked into the stadium with all the noise I thought Ohio was up but, then I saw all the Maize n Blue. Let's see if I'm Psycic or Psycotic!
psychic or psychotic, but definitely a bad speller.

So was Ernest Hemingway
Coach Hoke wearing shorts is the only prediction I've got
I hope we see a bubble screen to Heiko.

Why... is Joe Bauserman expected to play?
Speaking of which, this is old, but I just came across it not long ago. Buckeyes mocking their own Joe...
56 single Hoke points, 3 double Hoke points
I won two of the "VIP" tickets in the #GOBLUE contest only to have the event be possibly cancelled.
On another note, why are you all predicting the spring game? It's the Alumni Flag Football game that is the exciting part of the day.
I'm predicting John Navarre will have 6 passes batted down at the line of scrimmage.
2 Passes to our old friend and tenured WR Taco Pants
No prognostication but I'm hoping to see some good stuff tomorrow. I want to see a crisp, efficient Denard passing game. I bet everyone is particularly interested in the D-line. I want to see how BWC and Jibreel look as the starting NT and DT. I want to see how Devin Gardner looks at WR. And I really want to see how the EE freshman play. Joe Bolden has been getting a lot of mentions in spring practice pressers and Jerrod Wilson too to a lesser degree.
