Spring Game Parking/Tailgating

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Does anyone know how much it costs (or if it costs) to park behind Michigan Stadium where the tunnel is? Usually that lot is for high ranking Victors Club members during the season.

But since the game is free of admission, will the parking behind The Big House be free? Anyone know that has parked/tailgated behind there at past spring games?

Also for anyone interested, I'm using my mad skillz making a Spring Game program. Will be available tomorrow or Friday (in FREE .pdf form) depending on if I can process it in time.

I'm one of those losers who make depth charts for spring games and organize who is on what "team". The format of the spring game is yet again a controlled scrimmage.

Teams-

Maize: 1st team offense & 2nd team defense

Blue: 1st team defense & 2nd team offense

Kids get sick more often when it is cold. Could it be the touching of the face more when it is cold? Yes, but good luck keeping a kid's hands off his face when snot is running. Kids don't drown from swimming, but it sure helps if they stay out of water.

I'll accept your premise that kids get sick more when it is cold. The most probable reason for this, is that when it is cold outside, people tend to stay inside, in more confined spaces, with recirculating air. That is more likely to spread viruses and bacteria. So being out in the cold does not cause sickness, where being inside because of the cold, is more likely to cause sickness.

You are more likely to get the cold when you're cold. Between cold air being dryer and supporting the virus, to your body using energy (and blood) to stay warm rather than fight off infection makes you more susceptible to getting sick. So the old wives tale about getting sick because of the cold might have some truth to it.

"Parking: The lots around Michigan Stadium owned and operated by the University of Michigan will be free and open to the public; however, availability in these lots is extremely limited. Additional parking will be available at Briarwood Mall on the south side of Sears, and shuttles will be running from this area beginning at 8:30 a.m. The U-M Golf Course Lot (Green) will be restricted to golfers only. Pioneer High School will be charging $20 for cars and $80 for RVs on Saturday."

I'd imagine this game would be the same set up as last year.  However, to be safe, the article I found this in was published only 2 days before the 2012 game, so I'd imagine a similar one should be coming out on mgoblue.com any time now.

I wouldn't park there anymore if it was free.  Had season parking from the first year they issued them, then last year said i didn't have enough points but yet the lot is never full.  Screw  em all.

how much do they need?? it's a spring game, the University is free but a high school is charging a twenty spot...get real.  I'd rather walk a mile and a half than pay those clowns.

what a bunch of self-righteous dicks on this forum...or just pioneer folks looking to protect their little pot of gold...whatever...sorry I didn't follow the company line..."OH wow, parking for only $20 wow that's awesome, can't wait to watch a scrimmage..." funny how the same asswagons can bitch about DB and his greed machine.
