Michigan loses to Michigan State . . . duh.

Minnesota Twins swept out of playoffs.

BUT Fantasy football team rises to 5-0 (unless Braylon goes for 32 points tomorrow).

1-4. I'll have averaged about 100 points a week good for middle of the pack. My opponents averaging 115 points! Good for #1 points against and they are averaging As much (or more after this week) than the top guy in the league.

I'm just so pissed off. I feel like how michigan must feel because every team brings their A game against my team.

Michigan lost, Braves lost, Jaguars won but still suck, I lost my sunglasses at a tailgate, I even watched the show LOST and was actually lost through the whole thing, and if "finding a job in Washington DC" were a sport, I would be losing at that too. FML.

but they lose in horrific fashion. "Closer of future" walks guy, LOOGY out of pen fails to end game with two outs, then Brooks Conrad is Brooks Conrad.

It's amazing the change from two days ago: it was Friday, Dee Hart committed, the most unlikely Braves hitters led the most unlikely comeback, my TV remote was in one single piece at the time, I had a full bottle of whiskey. Seems so long ago...

Was pretty solid I thought. Not the best game by Dallas but we stifled them really well and the offense, once the line issues got sorted out, was impressive.

100% agree with you on the other 3. Plus the giants loss was the worst offensive performance since the dark days John shoop and Shane McMahon *shudders*

No, you're right, the Dallas win was great, but I hardly was able to see any of it, so it doesn't feel real to me.

Something about going into the season hating Lovie and wanting one of those finishes that guaranteed he'd be gone...this all just confuses me.

Its more about the significance of the win on that day rather than just a regular season win... It even more important for someone who was born and raised a Detroit fan, and Michigan alum who lives in a city full of Detroit haters and ND fans..

Also, the avatar is um, perfect, for someone who loves a great city like Chicago and bleeds blue.

the glaring blind spot from Michigan losing.... I went 3-0 in my fantasy leagues, The wings are 2-0 and look very good ( datsyuk fighting... enough said) oh and um... LIONS 44-6 not from hell but i do feel some of your pain good sir.

Bosnia tied Albania in Euro 2012 qualifying (seriously Albania is a top of the group), Bengals lost to Tampa Bay because of a last second interception by Palmer, Michigan lost, Ohio State is #1 in both polls, Yankees and Phillies swept their series, I could go on and on and on haha but /rant

I'm a grad student. What do you mean by this 'weekend' concept? Is that when the number of normal people and undergrad drop outside of my lab for two days?

Michigan loses (meaning, Michigan State wins).

Ohio State wins (and takes over #1 in the AP poll).

Notre Dame wins.

Reds lose and are eliminated.

Bengals snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

A horrible sports weekend...one of the worst I can recall in a while.

you seem like my kind of guy Pink Floyd = GOAT

Anyway, I recorded the Bengals game and watched it late last night. I'm not one to second guess NFL coaching, while I coached on the high school level for years I do not know half as much an NFL coach, but with that said how do you throw on 3rd and 13 in that situation? If we run and punt I just do not see Tampa driving the field for the tieing score. This is the reason that people hate Bratkowski. I did however call the reds sweep before the series so I'm not too surprised by that but it still sux.

ugh, but my goodness, the Lions put up their biggest win in 15 years. Having suffered through the Barry Sanders Hangover Lions and the BOOM! MILLEN'D Lions, I really enjoyed this win. It was remarkably cathartic.

And quite frankly, baseball needs to be done. It's football season.

The Red Wings kicked the shit out of the ducks (i hate the ducks), and spoiled chicago's banner night which was outstanding

Michigan Hockey took care of business sweeping bowling green

The Lions won a locally televised game for the first time since 2007, and beat the living hell out of the rams while doing it...

Michigan Football was the only thing that fucked up my perfect sports weekend...

Michigan lost.

Wings win 2!

Lions KILLED the Rams (Bet on them!)

Fantasy team somehow won even though my starting rb's were Mike Tolbert and Steve Slaton! Geez I should have picked up Mike Hart when I had the chance.

Only one bad thing this weekend

Michigan loses

Lions win!!!!!

Red Wings look good!!!

Fantasy team (Hugh Jeffencoch if you care to know the name) 5-0!!!!!

Alabama loses!!!!

Weekend could have been worse and I honestly really didn't expect M to beat a very balanced (and talented) MSU team.

UM gets embarrassed by Sparty

Penguins lose to archrival Philly and the team that eliminated us last year, Montreal

And it's playoff baseball time, which reminds me that the last time my Pirates were in the playoffs (or had a winning season), I was in diapers.

If you're a hardcore Pirates fan, 95% of weekends are miserable.
