Sports Science: Denard Robinson [Ed-S Note: Must See!]
The guys at Sports Science show how fast Denard can get in open field. They compare him and his skills to those of Michael Vick and Arian Foster. Definitely worth a watch.

Embeding is still something I have not learned.

Brian already told us how it's done! Denard's feet are magical unicorns blessed by the Pope! There's your science for you.

I love sports science. Impressive stuff.

Ehh I disagree with you. While it's hard to refute the mph calculations in open field and such, I find it difficult to believe that his cutting ability produces a force equivalent to that of a NASA Space Shuttle. Just my opinion, and one that has no science background. But I do love seeing Denard as the focus of a Sports Science (or anything Michigan in any positive sports-related story, for that matter)

This is science! Science does not have room for your opinion!

Well, you are a Steelers fan so your judgement is suspect.

I don't find it very hard to believe, actually. The shuttle accelleration isn't very high. I don't know if the 3G figure they mention is accurate, but that seems quite reasonable. Plus, they're talking about stopping, which of course is alot easier to do quickly then getting up to speed.

Which we all know to be an essential element of his aerodynamics. It has a streamlining effect, like Sonic the Hedgehog's quills.

Once every couple weeks I just sit back and think about how lucky we are to have Denard. It is honestly difficult to fully appreciate it now, but I'd suggest trying because man is it going to be sad to see him go.
December 22nd, 2011 at 2:55 PM ^
Have found myself doing the same thing ever since the UTL game. Denard is a special talent that will be missed.

I can remember national signing day, he was the player I was waiting on and most happy about when his letter finally came through. The guy is amazing. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there has never been a more exciting player here.
