Between this and the people calling Jabrill Peppers a bust, I'm not sure how much more sad guy / mad guy I can take.

Have people said that? Jesus, we're 4 weeks into his freshman season, and he's actually looked pretty good when he's gotten playing time.

Weber on the other hand hasn't managed to grab that starting RB spot, even with all the struggles from the guys ahead of him. I don't care if he's a senior in HS, I don't know why he's taking up a scholarship.

Unfortunately yes, and I'm not sure why.  I mean I know he's been a little banged up but he certainly hasn't done anything for anyone to question his ability.  Some recruiting show on ESPNU said he was the most disappointing freshman so far from last years high profile guys.  Bunch of Michigan groups on Facebook have also had some not-so-nice things to say about him.  We live in a world today, where common sense isn't so common anymore.

That's insane. Depending on how Taylor does upon his return from injury (and how quickly that happens), Peppers is looking to be a starter opposite Lewis from here on out. Missing a couple of games due to injury (which may stem from that cheap shot he took in week 1) is hardly a reason to peg a guy whose been eligible for all of a month as a bust.

Preaching to the choir I realize, but still. That's nuts.

Whoa, seriously?  Have those people even watched UM play?  Or Peppers play?  What the hell did they expect anyway?  UM returned literally everyone in the secondary that wasn't bad and Peppers already has a start under his belt and is the starting nickel, and has aquited himself quite well so far.  Hell, Patrick Petersen didn't even start until the last four games of his freshman year.  That's just the typical lazy 'journalism' where if the team isn't doing well, then everyone on the team must be bad.

At the end of the day it's just a game a form of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.  Some people have lost track of that on both sides of the ticket gate.

Its certainly more than just a game to time people involved. Players and coaches put everything they have into their sport. Win or lose try telling a player "It's just a game. Their lives literally revolve around sports and for many it starts at an early age. From a fan perspective many take wins and losses way to seriously but on the other hand if everyone viewed it as just a game Thousands of people would become thousands of empty seats.

The discussion is about fandom, not the players.  If thousands of seats are left empty because thousands of idiots are not showing up at games, I'd gladly pay a premium for my seat to offset the loss in ticket sales.

That center from Clemson that blew the snap in the FSU game is receiving death threats.  I guarantee that he has gained some perspective on how much his life revolves around sports.

Sadly, death threats to players that screw up are nothing new.  It would be nice if people would put this into perspective.  We are talking about 18 to 22 (and sometimes 23) year old kids.  I wonder how many people who are sending death threats had that kind of pressure on them at that age?

I guess the person that really comes to mind for me is Bartman (the dude that caught the foul ball during one of the Cubs run).  He got death threats and all sorts of publicity.  But seriously, he wasn't the only fan trying for that foul ball.  And he's not the only fan that did that.  Besides, it would have been 2 outs....did he bobble the next play and let the next 2 runs (or whatever) get driven in?  No.
