Poor guy. Hope he gets well. Love me some Spike Albrecht.

It's not OT season anymore, apparently...

Overtime?!
Because I'm not sure why it's such a far fetched post.
December 3rd, 2016 at 9:30 PM ^
Fucking idiot.
December 3rd, 2016 at 10:16 PM ^
I'm a "fucking idiot" because an OT post isn't marked "OT"? Right...

because it is not OT
December 3rd, 2016 at 10:59 PM ^
ONTOPIC
Anything Michigan sports relatedAnything related to other Big Ten teams or upcoming opponents
Stuff about the blog itself
University of Michigan topics that don't relate to sports
GRAY AREA
Can you please explain how a topic is OT that is related to other Big Ten teams or upcoming opponents?
December 3rd, 2016 at 11:01 PM ^
So a-ok to start a thread here the next time any Big 10 opponent in any sport suffers an indefinite injury? That's definitely not how that line has been drawn in the past.

It ain't OT because the guy played for us and we loved him and wish him well, relax man.
Quit acting like your namesake, it was just a movie.
December 3rd, 2016 at 11:29 PM ^
I'm actually quite a happy person. Your post made me laugh more than just a little, for that reason.

because you showed a good attitude about it.
On a side note, I'm glad you're a happy person.

It's all good, just a post about our boy Spike
December 3rd, 2016 at 11:10 PM ^
Spike Albrecht played for Michigan. Stop being so intentionally dense

Correct. Played.

OT.
If that doesn't make you happy, I guess you're an idiot because it is not off topic.
December 4th, 2016 at 1:59 PM ^
You are aware that Spike Albrecht is a beloved former Wolverine from not-so-long-ago? Like from last year? Who transferred for his 5th year to have a chance to play after being injured much of last year?
Far from OT.
December 3rd, 2016 at 11:02 PM ^
We are all interested.
December 3rd, 2016 at 10:05 PM ^
are you saying this is OT?
December 3rd, 2016 at 10:07 PM ^
I understand it to mean that Clarence assumed all posts must be OT once the regular season ends.

I thought Clarence was being a dick.
December 3rd, 2016 at 11:00 PM ^
One of the informal guidelines that they handed down to me at least when I (perhaps foolishly) took on mod responsibilities, is that items on former players, alums, and the like - even transfers - were never OT because they did in fact cross paths with Michigan at some point in their career.
I don't know if you're responding to someone on the app though, in which case, never mind me.
December 3rd, 2016 at 11:28 PM ^
Helpful, thanks! Thanks for doing it in a rational and thoughtful manner, too, unlike, well, most of the other responses to my post. You're a class act as always LSA. Thank you!

Did you apologize?
Maybe you should consider it was your attitude that created the reaction by others.
December 4th, 2016 at 8:54 AM ^
I assumed you were drunk when you got talked into that job.
December 3rd, 2016 at 9:18 PM ^
Always pulling for Spike. Hate to see him go down again. Hopefully it's just an injury that takes time to heal and not something that causes long term pain.
December 3rd, 2016 at 9:39 PM ^
Loved him while he was here. Very solid reserve. The show he put on in the national championship was epic.

kind of surprising.
December 3rd, 2016 at 9:54 PM ^
Damn zebras always screwing us over...Trey's block was as clean as Barrett was short.
December 3rd, 2016 at 9:58 PM ^
Not assigning the Hancock foul correctly was the bigger more egregious officiating mistake in that game!!! It kept Hancock on the floor to go crazy from 3.
December 3rd, 2016 at 10:00 PM ^
Our lazy D didn't help that either

I reserve the right to bitch when an official blows the whistle, points at Hancock and it's obvious that Hancock comitted the foul, trots to the scorers table and calls out the wrong number. It doesn't get any more egregious than that.
December 3rd, 2016 at 10:07 PM ^
Hancock literally fouled out and they screwed it up. He went on to draw a key foul that send to McGary to the bench and he sunk a big 3 later.
December 3rd, 2016 at 10:15 PM ^
And it wasn't a judgement call, they just fucked it up.
December 3rd, 2016 at 11:12 PM ^
AFTER they reviewed it! I hate officials sometimes
December 4th, 2016 at 12:47 AM ^
Between Kevin Ware and the walk-on sob story they couldn't wait to give Louisville that game.
December 3rd, 2016 at 10:19 PM ^
The Hancock lean in 3 bullshit call where they started reenforcing the rule the NEXT year because of that one play.
If a player is in the air you can't go out of your way to make contact and throw up some bullshit shot.
December 4th, 2016 at 7:07 AM ^
The bogus call on Burke was obvious and therefore most often mentioned, but the Hancock call was HUGE and unfortunately usually forgotten. That guy killed us.
December 4th, 2016 at 12:06 AM ^
I heard the ref called it because it would have been a foul in football.

Both hips, and now your back.
You were greatness when you had it, Spike. You made your mark. But an NBA career was never in the cards, and I'm guessing someday you'll want to chase around your grandkids. Listen to what your body's telling you. I'm sure you've got the will to come back, but how far can you go? Save what you got left for the rest of your days. There's a lot of life after basketball.
December 3rd, 2016 at 9:59 PM ^
