like john navarre in the pocket. i was nervous about his pocket presence and he proved me wrong. nicely done sir!

We needed that!

stepped up big time.
October 31st, 2015 at 10:45 PM ^
He basically threw the game winning pass twice. The go ahead TD, and the 2-pt conversion which meant Minny couldnt just kick a FG for the win on the final drive.
October 31st, 2015 at 11:47 PM ^
Without Speight improving that 2-pt conversion, Minnesota calls the timeout with :02 left and kicks the field goal for the win. Speight saved our ass tonight. I think he should be getting some real time next week
November 1st, 2015 at 12:20 AM ^
they probably kick it instead of going for 4th before that. Their kicker was in range.
November 1st, 2015 at 12:23 AM ^
for it all to get to the one to begin with had we only been ahead by one point.
November 1st, 2015 at 1:47 AM ^
They were at the 39 yard line on that 4th and 5. I don't think they were going to kick it.
November 1st, 2015 at 1:24 AM ^
may not have taken the completed shot at the endzone that was ruled down at the 1. Minny threw that from the 23 yard line. In that situation, playing to shorten what would have been a 40 yd FG attempt would have been playing for the win.

Heart attack averted

When Rudock went out it felt hopeles like when Denard went out @ Nebraska a few years ago and Bellomy came in. Kudos to Harbaugh and the staff for having our backup QB prepared!

It was Devin

Devin was a receiver. Bellomy played in that game.
November 1st, 2015 at 8:05 AM ^
That Nebraska game was the worst QB performance I have ever seen at any level of football. Bellamy was brutal. The writing is on the wall about Morris, the great white hope of 2013 is playing at Western next year.
November 1st, 2015 at 11:27 AM ^
I dont think morris starts over a senior terrell.
October 31st, 2015 at 11:34 PM ^
This was one of the early criticisms against Hoke and his staff; the best backup quarterback was playing receiver and wasn't available or ready when Denard was hurt.
November 1st, 2015 at 12:51 AM ^
how do you get something like that wrong? Hoke blowing the Nebraska game by not having Gardner ready, and going with Russel "Deer in the Headlights" Bellomy was the turning point of the Hoke tenure.
sad seeing posts from people with tons of points and no clue.
November 1st, 2015 at 1:40 AM ^
Yes. You could sense that while it was happening. Hoke was throwing away the entire season by just standing there watching Bellomy do whatever the hell he was doing.
The season was all based on THAT game. With everything on the line, Hoke just sat back and said, I don't care to win.
It was in that moment that I knew this guy had the mindset "I am gonna be here forever", we will win another year.
November 1st, 2015 at 10:26 AM ^
LSA Aught one you should turn in your Michigan Man card.
November 1st, 2015 at 1:03 AM ^
No, we put in the guy who passes like he's punting.
Devin had been practicing as a receiver for some weeks and so wasn't deemed better than the arm punter to get some qb time after Denard went down.
It was awful.
It was my 40th birthday.
I remember.
October 31st, 2015 at 11:03 PM ^
I had several heart attacks during this game. But I sure am relieved we got the jug back.
Those Gophers playled their hearts out, and I really feel for them, but the jug needed to come home.
October 31st, 2015 at 11:10 PM ^
two of our qb's. I don't feel bad for them at all. No one felt bad for us Oct.17.
November 1st, 2015 at 1:22 AM ^
After the obvious targeting hit on Shane, the the two on Jake tonight, fuck 'em. Fuck those head hunting sons of bitches. And fuck that fan with the "Ghost of Michigan Past" costume. As many years as this has been a rivalry series, you've won just 25. Let that sink in pal. And tonight, your coach snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Delicious.

came off the bench, no game experience, and led the TD drive to put us ahead.
October 31st, 2015 at 11:17 PM ^
without it MN would have won on a FG! BUT, it would have been nice if the Defense hadn't allowed them to convert 3rd and 17, then we all wouldn't be having chest pain around here....!
October 31st, 2015 at 10:46 PM ^
How many Wilton should start threads will there be this week?
Line set at 8 - pick over under
# of comments he should start set at 300.
October 31st, 2015 at 10:56 PM ^
If the mods aren't right on them, I'll take the over on both counts.
October 31st, 2015 at 11:08 PM ^
The secret here, of course, is that being on them is totally dependent on work, which promises to be a bit trying this week due to some unexpected staffing changes coming up later this month. To that end, I will probably take the over on both myself and that says a lot coming from a mod, I imagine.
October 31st, 2015 at 11:18 PM ^
ANARCHY!!!

I'm currently looking for a job. You name it, I can do it.
Unless you're a brain surgeon. I'd need a little time to peruse YouTube videos to study up on that. But other than that, I can do anything. And my furnace is on its last leg, so I really, really, really, really need a job.
November 1st, 2015 at 6:11 AM ^
Stay at a Holiday Inn Express, that's probably more enjoyable than watching on YouTube.
October 31st, 2015 at 10:56 PM ^
In defense of those threads, is Rudock going to have something torn in his shoulder? They said he couldn't throw because he was in a lot of pain.
November 1st, 2015 at 12:34 AM ^
Let's hope not. Sample size for Speight is small though.
I am definitely, 100% in the trust the coaches camp when it comes to QBs because Harbaugh. I do think Rudock is the best we have (he's probably a B quarterback).
I know everybody rips on Rudock but he basically is what we expected. He's not going to singlehandedly win games but he keeps us in games and manages them well.
Hope he comes back but happy for Speight being prepared to come in on short notice.
November 1st, 2015 at 12:23 PM ^
Respectfully disagree about Rudock.. he seems like a good guy but a turnover prone game manager is not what we expected out of a 5th year QB. I remembered Rudock as someone who could consistently hit the open guy - right now I'd say a third of the passes are on target - often they're not even close or else the WR's have to reach back to make the grab.
That scramble shovel pass INT in the first half? that was ridiculous. I expected a lot more poise. He keeps the other teams in games, unfortunately.
October 31st, 2015 at 11:02 PM ^
Well, he does throw a nice deep ball.
(Just kidding! Get well soon Jake!)
November 1st, 2015 at 3:30 AM ^
Wilton should start, because Rudock has a shoulder/neck injury. If he is ready to go next week great, but I doubt he will be.

Sometimes confidence boosts can do quirky things.
