Yes you did...but you retained expectations that we would win.  You continued to have optimism in the following weeks when the data indicated we would fail.  In fact, you've retained optimism until today, when we laid sparty down....sweet win, glad we all stayed aboard.

I regret it.  It was an impulsive, angry choice, and my temper got the better of me that day.  But I stuck to the team through all of 2008 and 2009 (the only two years I've had season tickets so far) so I feel like I've repented sufficiently to still consider myself a Michigan Wolverines fan...but only if MGoBoard approves.

What say you, Board?  Does buying season tickets and using all of them for 2008 and 2009 compensate for booing at halftime of Wisconsin '08?

/no snark--genuinely curious

whether or not you're a fan is a different question than whether or not you're a good fan. but in general it really depends on what you're booing. booing the coaches for some idiotic decision? ok by my lights, as long as you're right. booing the players? not ok, unless they're clearly not trying or actively doing something stupid and detrimental to the team (e.g. getting stupid personal fouls after the whistle).

everyones frustration regarding a poor game. I have never boo'd a Michigan team. I cheer for a Michigan Victory every single play.

I always remember these are 20 year old kids that are trying their hardest and leaving it all on the field. If they get blown out, I still cheer them on because they bleed Blue as I have for 40 years. These kids are playing for the love of the game and the school.

I dont mind when people boo, however I get violent when someone roots for a Michigan loss so DB will fire RR.

I stopped by there for a second, and noticed the Izzo hatred.  I think the mood definitely changed when he considered the Cleveland job - MSU fans realized that their best era EVER might end, and I think that terrified them.

The RCBM is shear entertainment tonight.

Some fantastic material, aside from the aforementioned "Fuck the world" post:

Which was worse....tongiht's loss or the ass-raping by Bama in the bowl game?  (Tonight's game was way ahead in the poll).

Should Izzo just kick Summer, Nix, Payne, Appling off the team right now?

Michigan is pure GARBAGE but they played with a sense of .....

Pride comes before the fall.

Pressure is off Dantonio (??? wtf?)

This one is on Izzo.

Let's seen how this new board handles a meltdown.

Ahahahaha.  Poor Sparty.

That thread is hilarious.

Prior tonight:

Sparty: MSU is the best school in Michigan.

Michigan Man: Question

Sparty: Yes?

Michigan Man: Did you apply to Michigan?

Sparty: ...yeah....

Michigan Man: Did you get in?

Sparty:..........no.....

Michigan Man: Well alright then

Sparty: WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOUR SPORTS TEAMS BEAT US???

Michigan Man: Uh our hockey team routinely rapes your jailbird hockey team every year, we knocked you guys out of the CCHA tournament last year and skull fucked your guys twice in Ann Arbor.

Sparty: BUT HOCKEY DOESN'T COUNT!!!! FOOTBALL OR BASKETBALL

Now

Michigan Man: We beat you tonight

Sparty: BASKETBALL DOESN'T COUNT!!! ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS FOOTBALL!!! WE CARE ABOUT FOOTBALL!!! WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU BEAT US IN FOOTBALL??

Michigan Man: You're clutching at straws Sparty...

Sparty: I GOT PLENTY OF STRAWS!!!!

Michigan Man Face Palm

Probably deserve a delayed reaction.

Pretty much trying to depict how out of sorts MSU is about anything. We took one of the few things they have away from them, to feed their inferiority complex. What do we do now? They really have nothing to live for anymore.

especially in the first half, whizzing the ball around, turning it over, not typical, well at not against UM, when they come out firing on all cylinders.

Also the look on the players when they had a fouled called on them, like they've never been called for a foul before.

I also noticed that they had a thread about how long since UM had beaten MSU at football as a way to "shut some people up."  Considering they were the school that started the whole "you haven't beaten us in x days" point, I don't really understand why they need to know be defensive about it.

I would chill in that mofo all night until I had to go to class in the morning. I wouldn't even care if I was all pruney because this is just amazing how depressed and pissed off these irrational, douchy MSU fans are! I'm riding this high for a while, friends. Care to join me?

Best post I read:

"Izzo has created everything you saw tonight. He threw a couple of good players off the team for violating "team rules" and replaced them with stiffs who can't play the game. You reap what you sew. "Stupid is as stupid does"."

Layers of stupidity, ladies and gentlemen.  Remeber, you REAP WHAT YOU SEW.

... A great coach take a program to unbelievable heights, only to have his fanbase turn on him in an instant. I wonder how many losses before they go the florida way and make a firetomizzo.com
