Southpoint Casino Releases Opening Point Spreads

Submitted by MichiganMan1999 on

Southpoint Hotel and Sportsbook in Vegas released their opening lines for the big games throughout the country this season. Looks like we'll be favored in every game other than The Game.

Michigan -13 vs. Wisconsin

Michigan -2 at MSU

Michigan -4.5 at Iowa

Michigan +5 at OSU

I'm sure most already know this....but these lines will move, potentially a lot, by game week.

-2 at MSU looks like the best bet on there. If I were to lose a couple hundred bucks on that game I would be so upset from the loss I really wouldn't care about the money.

If you want the -2 take it now (I have), not cause I'm a slapee but because we have an absolutely cake schedule before we play MSU, We will likely be a double didgit favorite in the 7 games prior (Hawaii, UCF, Colorado, Penn St, Wisky, @Rutgers, Illinois).

6 home games, 1 away, none against a top tier opponent (mostly trash opponents). It is very likely we will be undefeated heading into MSU and possibly ranked #1 in the country. Therefore the price/spread on Michigan should be real inflated, depending on how MSU does. If State loses 2 games I could see the spread upwards of -7.

looks like a fair and honest evaluation. Except for the last one--they are stupid and should feel stupid and I'm taking my ball and going home.

Even though the lines from any source at this point are mere discussion points for a football-starved world, you still have to feel pretty confident that - working on all cylinders - this football team could beat just about anyone you put in front of it. Granted, that's just a feeling, but even if you didn't show me the extremely preliminary lines, I would like our chances in just about any game this year, even "Stripe The Birthplace".

Would amuse me in that trash hole, a last second ridiculous victory might be even better. And something dumb, like Nick Saban's stupid field goal trick... Edit-. I didn't even get the Oregon/neb. Reference! I was thinking msu! I thought I was over that loss. My god, I need therapy.

Jump on that MSU line with every cent you have. Michigan wins by double digits, most likely 15-25.  Easy money.

I would stay away from the other lines.

No handshake, continued smart ass comments about our satellite and Spring Break, the righteous shall prevail (while one of their own recruit was a 2 time criminal when the comment was made, not to mention a team full of guys that serve no punishments for arrests), the lets do lunch Twitter post related to our Spring Practice, local media coverage that is a fansite and does zero reporting.

Harbaugh's response will come on the field.

Undefeated going into Iowa game.

I don't think Iowa is great, but will likely be a tough atmosphere (though game could easily be a workmanlike win if Iowa already has some losses).

I could see anywhere from tight, but never really in doubt 7-10 point win to a 20 point win.

Toss up against Ohio State - will have games under their belt so will be young, but not completely inexperienced.

I think they'll steamroll Iowa.  I mean, Iowa got demolished by Stanford -- the only good team they played last season.  They do return some talent, but that talent was failry overrated to begin with.  Plus, by that point in the season Michigan should have their offense rolling and combined with their defense, be approaching juggernaunt of death levels.

Any time one team is giving 13.5 in El Assico, you take that.

Surprised USC is -5.5 against Notre Dame.

Wait, no line for Michigan@Rutgers!?

These lines are going to get drilled. I think MSU and OSU will both move a lot. Maybe they weren't paying attention when Michigan became either the top or second pick to win it all at other sports books (the other big pick being Alabama)?

Road games are a different beast in College Football.  Remember that Michigan was 2 goaline stands away from losing to Minnesota and Indiana on the road last year.  Minnesota and IU are not MSU/Iowa/OSU.  That was with a Sr. QB too, not a 1st year starter going into East Lansing, Iowa at night, or the Shoe.  Granted things might change as the year passes and we prove ourselves, but the books are going to be begging for the Michigan fan money in those road games this year.

Hello to all! Yeah, I heard about that. It is pretty interesting for me to take part in such a game one day. But now I have no opportunity.

Hello guys, I don't really like visiting casinos. I like the game itself and I like to get rewards affiliates. You know, every casino game is unique and it is necessary to find what you like the most. Personally, I have made my choice and I play that game more frequently.
