Sounds like Emelien had a helluva day of practice

He just posted this on Twitter: "good day of practice today caught two picks and won player of the day for the defense... god blessed and still trying to stay focus." After all the recent panic about the secondary, it's good to see someone back there succeeding.

I have always hoped that he takes Cameron Gordan's starting spot, because he was recruited for that position and was a pretty good recruit and i would love for one of our secondary recruits to play up to expectations. And having a converted WR start after just a spring and summer of practicing is a little bit scary.

If the coaches thinks Cam is the best for the job so be it. BUT, I do agree with this because it would be really nice to see some DB recruits working out. I mean RR seems to really be bringing in some great talent regardless of ranking, but good god how many DB's does he have to get before a few pan out? Anyone? Are they hard positions to judge talent?

I could be 100% wrong about this, but high school passing games are notoriously .... notorious. I think that a lot of DB recruiting (especially given the disparity between schemes that are out there) comes down to: are they physically capable of tackling in space and tracking receivers? and, do they seem to know what they are doing half the time?

when C. Gordon was being recruited, the coaches told him he'd get a shot at WR but there was a lot of chatter back then about him being likely destined for the defensive side of the ball. Most people thought LB, so the move to S may not have been part of the vision, but I think Cam's on the side of the ball coaches always pictured him. And the side of the ball where his talents will best serve the team and Cam himself.

Sounds like he's fully recovered from that ACL and is playin at a very high level. Love hearing positive reports on our safeties. Guys are steppin up now that T-Wolf is out. KEEP IT COMING VLAD!

Vlad wasn't 100% in the spring game, he's had a good fall camp so far but you're right in one sense, until he does it in a game it doesn't really matter.

is a hard working kid that is going to contribute the rest of his time as a wolverine barring serious injury from angry wolverine hating god.  I think the secondary will gel as the season rolls along, and vlad will be an intricate piece of this.
