SOS Update: All But One of Our Future Opponents Won This Weekend
Good news for our Strength of Schedule: All but one of our future opponents won this weekend - including both of our remaining non-conference foes. UCF shut out South Carolina State, 38-0, while Colorado steamrolled Colorado State, 44-7.
In the Big Ten, future opponents Indiana, Maryland, MSU, OSU, PSU, Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois all won.
The only loss was suffered by our biggest rival, Rutgers.

So much for that 10-2 prediction, am i right?
September 4th, 2016 at 11:10 AM ^
where some Rutgers fan edited their wikipedia page to say they'd go 10-2, including a dismantling of Washington:

Guess that didn't happen.

That was against Richmond, also in FCS.
They beat James Madison, also in FCS, by 45 in 2014.
I won't even mention the Baby Seal U's in 2013.
Point is, we've seen this show before.

Speaking of Richmond, the Spiders beat UVA yesterday!

Edit: Oops. Mike London ain't there no more. Mendenhall it is

You must be excited about this!
But honestly, why is UVA's program such a shit show? I get that it always has been, but there is no reason it should be as bad as it's been...
September 4th, 2016 at 8:33 AM ^
I'd say a combination of poor recruiting and poor coaching. Not making good hiring decisions. UVa should be a school to leverage what it has. I don't know if they face academic restrictions on recruiting in comparison to other schools, but I'd say its mostly those two things. There's a good amount of talent in that area. I mean, future Heisman trophy winner, Wilton Speight, is from that state.

Rutgers looks terrible again. Big surprise there. Based on week 1, Colorado, Ohio State, and Wisconsin look better than advertised and MSU and PSU don't look that great.
September 4th, 2016 at 9:26 AM ^
I'd go as far to say that MSU looked bad. They really struggled, and I see a 9-3 type ceiling for them this year.
September 4th, 2016 at 9:30 AM ^
They'll take two of those losses within the next couple of weeks against Notre Dame and Wisconsin. Since I don't see them beating us or Ohio State, I'd say your ceiling is extremely generous.
September 4th, 2016 at 10:39 AM ^
Michigan, OSU, and ND are the 3 losses in my scenario . Not sure how 9-3 is "extrememly generous" vs your 8-4 ceiling. Sounds like we are saying the same thing +/- 1 game.
September 4th, 2016 at 9:35 AM ^
They always play to their competition and have very done poorly against similar openers in the past. Their game in 2 weeks against ND will be much more telling.

Every pundit said before the season started that Michigan has an easy schedule. They can't all be wrong.

I didn't realize Taysom Hill came back to BYU. That could be another tough game for Sparty.

Our win today was crap!

I think we can match up well with Wisconsin given that we can throw the ball unlike LSU and our DL can match up well with the strength of Wisconsin. They won't be running an air raid attack.

We'll see. Taysom Hill is kind of guy who has given them trouble before.

referenced. Not BYU.

OSU is real. If they lose at OK, it'll be a close game. They have a busload of talent and good coaching, they will be alright this year.
Now I'm going to run to the bathroom and vomit up my breakfast...
