Everytime I hear/see that Boiler Up bs, I nearly throw up in my mouth.
is a moist and malodorous skidmark in the stretched and off-white briefs of Charlie Weis.
But seems so right.
Hope RR meets him at midfield after we kick his nancy ass with a nice comment like......nice porno stache asshole.
I hope RR meets Hope at midfield and says, "I want you to meet Denard Robinson. He's the guy who just torched every player on your team." Denard: "Yeah, thanks a lot coach."
Not going to ask either...
I'm pretty sure Purdue hired this guy on his stache alone. They wanted to replicate the stache of Tiller.
beauty parlor job. (I know the Vietnamese gal who does his nails.)
Every game brings a new set of challenges. There are no gimmees at this point. Bring the pain, boys. Bring the pain.
Ever since last year's postgame handshake where Danny Hope "introduced" RichRod to the Purdue player that got suspended for a late hit, I've hated that fucker and that fucker's moustache.
Fuck you Danny Hope. Regardless of how the game turns out, you're still an asshole that deserves to eat shit and die.
But how do you feel about Danny Hope?
I just think getting that huge monkey off of the back (win #6) will go a long way. I also think the D may have stumbled onto something in the second half. Here's to some improvement and a BIG victory.
EDIT: by stumble onto something I mean, blitzing w/Gordon and Demens playing closer to the line...or am I just wishful thinking?
Thanks for reminding me. I knew I couldn't stand the guy, but couldn't remember why I disliked him so much. This is a noon game which should help on the road. No sitting around in a hotel for countless hours, makes me feel more confident for a win and revenge.
...that they don't have a walk-on QB somewhere in their depth chart that thinks of himself as a Brett Favre-type player and a chip on his shoulder. Otherwise, I feel kinda confident that Michigan will take this game strongly.
Johnny Walker neat. Do it. Do it.
Things to remember for Saturday:
-Danny Hope confronting Rodriguez after last year's game
-Danny Hope's comments about Michigan during Big 10 media days
-Even Carr hated Tiller
-Purdue basketball fans turning into a lynch mob and egging the refs into ejecting Manny Harris
I could go on all day. Without a doubt this is the athletic department, coaches, and school that I have the least respect for in the Big 10. I hope we hang 50+ on those clowns.
I forgot about some of this stuff...........50+ points should be doable............these kids now have something to shoot for in terms of a bowl game, I expect a better than expected performance.......
45-34 Michigan. Purdue will score more points than they should, but I think our D will make a few good plays to put a temporary cap on the oil spill of the last few games.
Denard's going apeshit, though. I'm almost tempted to call a 200p/300r game for him. Remember those huge runs he busted at the beginning of the year? yeah, he's bringing those back.
Emotion. Coming off of such a huge emotional game, I do worry about the team's emotional level not just for the game but also during the practices this week. This is when the coaches and team leaders need to step up and keep the young players focused.
I wouldn't be surprised to see M come out a little flat at the start of the game, but I fully expect this team to find their focus and relentlessly score on Purdue.
Hope knows we've been struggling and this might be his best chance to grab a win, here come the trick plays! Like you said, are the guys going to be able to get up for this? Here's to hoping so, GO BLUE!!!
making my first UM road trip oustide of the State of Michigan (been going to games since 1978 and outside of two Rose Bowls in the 80's...this will be my first true road game.). The offense better come ready to score.
Prediction-we will have 2 or fewer turnovers and it will make a big difference.
until a few minutes ago when a colleague of mine who's an Arkansas fan noted that a few years ago Arkansas had a big win in a multiple overtime game. He said that the following week they seemed to be one step slow and after the game it was speculated that they had not fully recovered from the long game a week earlier. I noted to him that Denard only played three quarters and the overtimes went very fast for the most part. Is being tired a legit concern????
I just had an epiphany and looked at the 2004 season. The week after Braylonfest, Michigan beat Northwestern 42-20.
They're in college. They'll recover.
What does college have to do with recovery?
Speaking of Purdue, am I the only one that sees a resemblance between Matt Painter and the Purdue mascot?
The loss to Toledo aside, Purdue was having a nice little season until getting absolutely clocked these last three weeks. I think that our defense picks up a little based on some of the good things they showed in the second half of last week's game and our offense continues to roll. If given the chance, I think RR rolls it up a little bit to see if can make the Stache cry like Zook did after the Illinois game. Good Guys 42/ Rollie Fingers Wanna Bes 20.
I look at this as returning to the scene of the crime. Two years ago, Purdue's offense (one of the worst in the big ten) led by a QB making his first ever career start put up 48 points on us. That loss assured us that we wouldn't go bowling for the first time since 1974. That was extremely hard for me to contemplate that my beloved Wolverines wouldn't be playing a game over the holidays for the first time in my LIFE!
And then of course last year, the boilers won in the big house for the first time since 1966. That did a number on my psyche as well. I grew up watching highly hyped Purdue teams get annihilated at Michigan Stadium. Mark Harmon and the #7 Boilers looking to wrap up a Rose Bowl trip got demolished by Schembechler's defense 26-0. Heisman hyped Drew Brees came to Ann Arbor at 5-0 and lost to Tom Brady & Company 38-12. Several years ago, after watching his #9 ranked Boilers lose at the big house 31-3, Gary Danielson said on camera, "I'm starting to believe this place really is haunted." So you can just imagine how I felt last year after that on-side kick helped Purdue pull out a 2 point win.
I've grown a ton of hatred for those guys the last two seasons. They must DIE now. Unfortunately, there seems to be a familiar scenario with this years game. Just like in 08 and 09, we're taking one of the worst defenses in the country to face a horrible Purdue squad. The only thing that's changed is the Michigan offense and THAT will be the difference in this game.
Purdue's defensive line is the strongest part of the team so long as Michigan's line holds up, which it has been great all year, it will be fine. Purdue is also experiencing inexperience in the secondary starting almost all freshman so Michigan should exploit this. On Offense the line is atrocious and the preseason 4th string is expected to start, Robinson, and be spelled by Siller who was switched to wide out, who will only be marginally better than Feagin. Dirking is the only hope for a running game and he wasn't expected to start.
The way I'm viewing this game is Rich Rod has yet to beat Purdue and going into the Ilinois game, he only beat three other Big 10 teams (Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Indiana) so hopefully after this week Michigan will have 7 wins on the season and Rich Rod will have wins over 5 different Big 10 teams as he really begins to figure out this Big 10 style of play.
only Minnesota will be in our division starting next season.
i hate danny hope 100x more than i actually hate purdue
