Submitted by DGDestroys on

After the Championship game today, reporters (predictably) swarmed the DP players for news. Here are some interesting tweets/reports that followed.

I think more and more HS kids are reading into they hype that surrounds them and this is no different!! Ha Ha and Dee might be having fun with everyone.....Alabama....Florida....Michigan....a secret dark horse??? They know blogs like this across the football world live and die on their every waiver in commitment.... Everyone needs to take a breath and CHILL!! This is like a card game....you hope for the best cards/players but you have to play with the hand you are dealt...hell look at the last recruiting classes and where they finished: 1 USC 8-5.... 2 Florida 3 Texas

Sorry dropped iPhone.... Florida 7-5....Texas under .500!!! Please please everyone think to our LONG standing motto.... Those who stay WILL be champions!!! We will take who we get and turn them into a great blue winning machine!! Look a DRob NO ONE recruited him and now are all kicking themselves!! Let's all just relax since one player does not a championship team make!! God bless Michigan and coach RR!!

Not many people recruited Robinson as a QUARTERBACK.  That doesn't mean he wasn't very heavily recruited though.  A guy with an offer list that includes Michigan, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, and Ohio State is a big time recruit, and Robinson was.

Isnt there a dead period in recruiting coming up soon? How the hell is he planning on visiting the Gators and EE? This Dee kid is a great talent and I hope he comes to UM, but he sure is sketchy at times.

I like Dee Hart as an athlete, and I can't comment on him as a person, but we all have to admit that he has a habit of being a bit of a joker and jerking around the fanbases of schools he is interested in/committed to. How do we know he and HaHa didn't just do this for more smoke (but no fire)? I'm not coming down on the kid; just merely stating what I see as a bit of a pattern.

When it comes to recruits, I'm just going to plug my ears and go "LaLaLaLa" until after the bowl games...then I'm gonna plug just one ear, and maybe hum a little bit, at least until NSD.

Either Hart or the writer doesnt understand that if he were to EE, he cant take January visits to Flordia.

Either way, I predict 37 more threads that involve Dee Hart potentially decomitting. Anyone want to take the under on that?

Only those who have never played on a football team can expect high school kids to speak rationally after losing the state championship game and, more significantly, playing their last game together.  No surprise Ha-ha and Dee are talking about playing together (for sure) at the next level.  After my last high school game I sat in the locker room for an hour refusing to shower because I didn't want to take the uniform off for the last time.  I would say that tonight's remarks therefore have no bearing on reality, except that there is a long way between right now and NSD for them. Probably the best way to read their actual choice is to see where their parents are thinking.

Florida isn't even going to run the spread, thats what Dee has said he wants for awhile so going there would confuse me. Its definitly going to be interesting how this plays out. All we can do is wait to see RR's fate.

And though I put no stock in these things like everyone else has said, I will say one thing. It would make me really mad if Dee ended up with the Gators if we end up keeping Coach Rod. He said if RR stays, he stays. He said the only thing to sway his decision was coaching change possibilities. Well, Florida just changed coaches, my boy, which means according to your logic they should be nowhere near the picture anymore.

I try not to get worked up about rumors or even over actual news, but that would just bug me a bit.

He really didn't get very much help from his OL or playcaller tonight.  I'll bet that makes him even more ready to go to a school where he will get the ball in open space.

If I see another quote or tweet from a high school prospect this week I may scream.

Seriously though, I'm as interested in recruiting as the next person here but sometimes it drives you crazy.

The history of the football program and the quality of education is without equal - even with the W-L record over the last three years. You either want to be one of the select few men on this planet who will ever get the rare opportunity to wear the winged helmet, and touch that banner as you take the field at every home game in front of 110,000+ people at the Big House -- or you don't.

I want kids who have actually watched the last 30 + years of incredible "Wolverine Historian" YouTube football highlights - and understand what their place will be in the history of this storied program - instead of kids who have opted to veg in just as many hours of Madden Football ("Did you see that move?? Man, that was sick! Lets watch it again in sloooooowwww motion. The dexterity of my thumbs is amazing!").

This is Michigan. It is bigger than any one coach. It is bigger than any one player. It absolutely is one of the single best offers you will ever receive in the course of your lifetime.  All the best to any high school player who has a scholarship offer from the University and isn't "All In for Michigan" at this point - good luck wherever you end up, until we line up against you.
