Holy God... Things like that put our recent 2 game skid in perspective for me. I couldn't imagine the state of mind I would be in if we ever got jobbed like that. I'm not even mad about that dropped punt against Iowa now.

The phantom touchdown. Howard getting tackled in the endzone against State in 1990. Yes, I am still bitter. No, it will never be OK. We got jobbed out of a Rose Bowl and shot at a national title, respectively. Crap, why did I type this? Now I am pissed off about stuff that happened decades ago.

...ouch...I'll never forget that play...where was the replay when we needed it...(what is Ron Simpkins doing now...greatest Mich LB ever...I think so...) at least horrible calls involving possesion like that are not likely to stand in todays game...there's still room for BS obviously. I wonder that they can't hold these crews more accountable.

There was also a horrible horrible horrible pass interference call against Arkansas as well. I don't really have any feelings either way to the teams involved but boy was I livid at the end of that game.

football and you will find this is not-uncommon. Funny thing is, its not as blatantly obvious as it used to be. As for the Liverpool, beach ball incident.......horrible just horrible. The interesting part is the beach ball was thrown on the pitch by a Liverpool fan, I suppose the ref felt he was punishing them because it was from their own fans.......or he really didn't think Liverpool could ever be shut out by Sunderland. Can't imagine that bloke will get too many rounds sent his way at the local pubs anymore.

At what point do you investigate the refs to see if they are betting on the game? I remember watching the Spurs v. Suns playoff game where the refs just called a flat out weird game against the Suns. Years later, when I found out about Donaghy, I wondered whether he reffed that bizarre game, and he did. Where there is smoke, there may be fire.

The SEC is dirty. I have no evidence at all to back this up, but I feel it very strongly. I don't just mean regular dirty, like all college athletics. I don't just mean unwritten promises and under the table "gifts" to big recruits. I mean refs and coaches in bed with bookies and money men, boosters sitting in on team meetings, the works. Again, I have no evidence to back this up at all, but most of the conference just gives me that vibe.

without question the most insanely awful personal foul call I have ever seen (including the "late hits" from the 06 UM-ND game that just so happened to be continuations of plays that happend in bounds)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zO78BDleQjA&feature=related The first one actually looks like PI, but the commentators say that the DB was just doing the right thing. Someone has to explain that to me. The next two are atrocious. The second one is ridiculous because it called #96, who did NOTHING. He just tried to get around a block. You have to be paid to call that. Actually, I think there may have been a helmet2helmet penalty on the guys tackling the ball carrier--it kind of looks like they led with their helmets. In the 3rd one, Tebow is clearly down at the 30. Who knows? Maybe the officials weren't paid. Maybe it was actually the officiating crew from the Pac-10 that called the 2006 Oklahoma-Oregon game after they were officially banned from the West Coast.

The DB was running step to step with the receiver and when the reciver turned to find the ball he turned to find the ball. The ball was horribly under thrown and the receiver couldn't get to the ball because the DB was in the way. But the DB was suppose to be in the way, he had every right to the space he was occupying and the receiver has no right to be able to run through him to get to the ball. The DB did not hold the receiver or stop the progress of the receiver in anyway he even turned his head and made an attempt on the ball. There is no way that is Pass Interference.

Based on the title, I totally thought this thread was going to be about something else. Especially after the thread about gentleman's clubs in AA.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJZ40rMCzyc I hadn't seen this one yet. WTF were the refs thinking? Green did nothing wrong. That those putzes were allowed to call another game after that is a travesty. That call is almost insulting. Green didn't even throw the ball up in the air like Jake Locker did against BYU last year (going against the written rule, not that it makes it the right call). It's absolutely pathetic.

Well, The Refs will do their part to make sure UF gets to the NC, whether it makes a sacrifice of another SEC team, or not. Alabama should represent the SEC in the NC game, beacuse they'll certainly make sure an SEC team gets there.

is for Bama and Florida to both lose somehow.......and have Texas play Boise (even though I hate that idea for many reasons). I just want to hear the SEC cry, cry and cry. There seems to be a mentality that one national championship game slot should be reserved for the SEC and thats bullcrap.
