He rushed for 1,285 yards and 18 touchdowns as an 8th grader on a varsity team! Insane!
Someone tell RR about this kid stat!
Phew. When I first saw this thread title I thought this was that dude advertising his pro-style QB kid/brother/self again. I'd +1 just because you're NOT him.
same area in Florida as Vlad the Impaler
...as Justin Feagin.
I can't see how this could go wrong.
Actually it isn't the same school. In an attempt to confuse everyone outside of South Florida, there's an American Heritage Delray Beach and an American Heritage Plantation. They're about 45 minutes apart and 2 different schools. Feagin was from Delray and this kid is from Plantation, this school is about 5 minutes from where Vlad went.
Bobby Petrino is currently sitting in a car outside his parents house.
Yes, while a USC booster is handing the keys to a car to his parents inside the house.
His mailbox is being bombarded as we speak with letters. He sounds like he's determined. I can't even imagine what he's gonna be like in 4 years. By then we should be coming off a 13-0 NC season finishing #1,censensus preseaon #1 he's the #1 recruit in the country and couldn't see himself wearing anything but the Maize and Blue.
My gosh, it's as if our collective consciousness has become one...
started recruiting this guy in 5th grade. he's been guaranteed the starting rb, ss, and punting spot on the vols.
...if Kiffin thought the kid was old enough for the UT "Hostesses?"
But the "hostesses" Kiffin sent this kid were cupcakes.
How do you get to play high school ball in 8th grade.. He looks as old as Greg Oden
I saw this on the Yahoo homepage. Can this kid still only play 4 years of HS ball? Because if so this doesn't make sense because he'd have to sit out a year. I think he only does get 4 yrs though because I do remember something like this with OJ Mayo playing varsity in 7th grade or something like that.
in Ky started point guard for the hs team when he was in 8th grade. He is a senior now and a front runner for Mr. Basketball. This is his 5th year on varsity so you can do that in KY anyway.
...in Minnesota, too. Khalid El-Amin started for Minneapolis North in 8th grade and played 5 years of hs basketball.
Ohhhh I see, you're black
Well I am actually white, hence he is a point guard.
That's awesome for your cousin. I imagine he has some nice D1 offers on the table
When I wrestled we had a 8th grader that wrestled 98lbs. He only had 4 years and couldn't wrestle as a Sr. He did get 2nd place in the state twice and lost to the same kid both times.
The BB coach at my son's HS allegedly considered pulling up an 8th grader because of depth issues at Varsity, but opted not to so the kid would have eligibility as a Sr.
Are 8th graders supposed to look that old?
This kid has nothing on Greg Oden, but yeah I thought the same thing. This kid already has the size and looks old enough to be a senior in h.s.
I think he has a Sony endorsement in his future as well. He'd help sell a lot of Playstations and TV's.
Is he transferring to Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes? You know, I heard a rumor that they have a QB ready for the Big Ten, too. Let's go spin up some home grown snake-oil and get M the package deal!
He'll be Tennessee's second commit for the class of 2014.
I thought this was going to be about Brett Favre's nephew, did anyone else read that article on SI.com?
He's never going to get a chance to just be a kid with all the vultures circling. He may look like he's almost a man, but he's not. And it sounds like maybe his parents aren't around (older brother is guardian). Of course every kid wants to be the number 1 player in the country. But there's a lot of pressure that goes with that. I hope his older brother is smart enough to help him deal.
with the ridiculous amount of ass-kissing and slavish, adoring attention that he's going to receive from adults trying to lure him to their schools, there's virtually no chance this kid is going to lead a normal, undistorted life.
he's going to be too old to play college ball when he graduates high school...
8th grader? That kid looks like he's at least a junior in high school.
