Someone put a tracking device on Beilein!
This is a really funny story. Beilein usually tries to walk to the hotel after games when they are on the road so he can get some fresh air. Last night after the game, he was walking with a local police officer who was his body guard and they got lost.
Mlive story is here.
I will embed the video below.
Question: Did they get subs???
If not, it wasn't that crazy... If so, the craziness is valid.
Subway. Does that count?
I love this comment because I really hate Subway subs and shops. Awful food.
They're better than Sheetz' subs... which, if you're not in PA, VA, MD, NC, or western OH you have no idea what that is. But I work there... Sheetz' food is abnormally unhealthy.
Wouldn't want to run into him late at night after a game. He might...offer to buy me a sub and talk about footwork in defending the post.
Seriously, though. we need to keep him off the streets. if Coach K decides to retire, I'm afraid of Dook boosters grabbing him and throwing him in the back of a van. (Or a Landcruiser nicely appointed with a TV screen in the back showing replays of Christian Laetner making that damn turn-around.)
Is it weird that this makes me like Coach Beilein even more?
Granted he was with a local police officer who you think could find a hotel (I'm sure we are not talking about some dive hotel here), but listening to him laugh about it at the press conference was great.
How can you not pull for this guy? I mean I'm 50 and I want him to adopt me.
Why is everything this man does epic?
We Had Subs. It Was Crazy, when he threw the birthday cake years ago because he was angry after a loss, the harlem shake video and this.

Not trying to be a jerk, but we love him now because he's been winning. If he got lost in January of 2010, I can only imagine what everyone would say...
the cop not having one, however, more suspect.
Is a local cop getting lost. In his own city. Suspect.

Their IQ may be 17, but how did they score on the Wonderlic?

I ran into the coach and the officer as they were back on track to the hotel. He was in a good mood and mentioned he had just been lost after I congratulated him on the game. The cop, I confirmed in talking to him, is not from Milwaukee or Wisconsin. He travels with the coach from Michigan...fully armed I might add. Fun to meet Coach B!

I thought this was going to be about Calapari and his increasingly desperate attempts to figure out who Beilein is recruiting.
Apparently neither Coach B nor this officer owns a smartphone.

TV5 is a terrible news team. I am surprised those two idiots were able to help coach. Those two usually just care about sparty. I know more about sports than the people that station has covering sports.

Yeah, I always get lost around there looking for the Safe House on Front St. (It's been a while - it's still there...right?)
I thought an opposing coach put a tracking device on coach Beilein. I was going to say it wasn't an opposing coach it was the Flea Press trying to get some dirt on him so we would have to let him go. Then he would be free to take over for Izzo when he gets upset in the next round. GO BLUE!!!
