Some stars announced for Signing of the Stars
http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/signing-day-2017.html
- Jon Jansen
- Jake Rudock
- LaMarr Woodley
- Brandon Graham
- Marlin Jackson (confirmed today)
I'm sure there will be a lot of recorded videos from celebrities like there last year.
Big Sean would be an awesome surprise if he showed up. He did an announcement last year for Onwenu since he's a Cass Tech guy and we have two this year.

Weren't most of these already announced? Unfortunately for the event this year, Brady is otherwise occupied.

with Gisele?
January 30th, 2017 at 1:41 PM ^
Unfortunately? Actually, Brady will have plenty of years to come to Michigan. I am ecstatic that the Patriots are in the Super Bowl, and want Tom to get another ring. Shoot, get several more!! I want Michigan to have the GOAT, and a couple three more rings would pretty much make it a slam dunk over Montana et al.
January 30th, 2017 at 2:02 PM ^
For the event* not for Brady...obviously pulling for the pats and Brady.

which is the most for a QB. That, and the all time wins as a QB, makes him the GOAT.
I live in ATL and may be the only guy here hoping for a Patriots win. They pretty much stopped selling Sam Adams in the bars here.
January 30th, 2017 at 2:25 PM ^
Brady is the GOAT regardless of what happens on Sunday.
January 31st, 2017 at 6:35 AM ^
A Tom Brady video from the site of his 7th Super Bowl would be pretty damn cool. I wouldn't bet against it.
January 30th, 2017 at 2:51 PM ^
I saw the story about the convenience store owner who did that in reaction to the Boston sports columnist slamming Atlanta sports fans. I thought that was pretty clever. Even got some pretty clever responses from the Sam Adams twitter account, pulled Coca-Cola into it, etc.
Also, looks like a lot of fun bets - mayors of Flowery Branch, GA (Falcons HQ, practice facility) and Foxborough, MA have made a bet to wear the opposing teams jersey and trade some local goods.
Six Flags over GA and Six Flags New England made a bet to change the names of one of their rides and serve up either Peach Pie (if ATL wins) or new england clam chowder (if Pats win).
Of course, there is the traditional mayoral bet, this year including the mayors of Atlanta and Bosto... Wait, what? Boston mayor isn't betting? That's so lame....
Go Falcons! RISE UP!

Marty Walsh is a typical POS Boston pol! More worried about making City Hall a sanctuary for illegal aliens. Years ago, Menino and the Southie political mafia told Kraft to pound sand when he was looking to build a stadium on the waterfront. Maybe if the property had been owned by Whitey Bulger it would've gotten done, however Whitey might have had to do some pre sale escavation work! However, Mumbles Menino and now dumb ass Marty Walsh, always "claim" the Patriots for Boston during the Super Bowl. Marty Walsh would mess up a wet dream!
January 30th, 2017 at 6:44 PM ^
Last year when Carolina was in, there were parties every day, everywhere for 2 straight weeks. Complete strangers would high five each other for wearing the Panther shirts or hats. It was a blast. There's not much like it.
January 30th, 2017 at 5:06 PM ^
Nope. Me too. Go Pats!
January 30th, 2017 at 5:20 PM ^
I'm in Atl, born and raised. I'll be pulling for the Pats. No love lost between me and my friends. I'll be happy regardless of which team wins though.

January 30th, 2017 at 6:04 PM ^
and I'm not at all sure what I want to happen. I've been pulling for Brady every year; the Falcons making a real go of things makes it complicated.
I do know there is a waitress at the Moonshadow on Lawrenceville Highway who is pulling publicly and without fear for the Pats; I think she will be there for the game.
Any year there is no Dallas is above average as far as I am concerned.
January 30th, 2017 at 2:28 PM ^
Montana played in the pre-cap era. Edge= Brady.
January 30th, 2017 at 3:47 PM ^
Montana played in the era when QBs gots murdered and before friendly rules such as the tuck rule. Just syain'.
January 30th, 2017 at 3:48 PM ^
Brady has never lost his job. Steve Young was good but still. I don't think there has really been a guy in the past say 13 years that could take Brady's job. Maybe more years than that. I'm getting old so you have figure in alzheimers. Anyway, how many AFC Championships has Brady taken the Patriots to? Like 8, 9 or 10? Montana didn't do that. This is his 7th Super Bowl too. Brady gets this win and he is the GOAT, hands down. Poor Dan Marino was such a talent though.
January 30th, 2017 at 5:11 PM ^
to add to his legend. He is already the GOAT. Not in every category, but overall best QB to ever play in the NFL.
January 30th, 2017 at 6:46 PM ^
Brady and Woodson. None better, ever.
January 30th, 2017 at 2:09 PM ^
Aren't the stars supposed to be the recruits?
It's not Recruits Meet the Stars
January 30th, 2017 at 1:34 PM ^
Hoping for Jordan. It just makes too much sense.
January 30th, 2017 at 1:37 PM ^
He's not coming. I know this sucks to hear, but he doesn't care about Michigan. He refuses to do recruiting favors for UNC
January 30th, 2017 at 1:39 PM ^
He also refused to let UNC Football wear Jordan.
January 30th, 2017 at 1:42 PM ^
That has nothing to do with it. He doesn't do recruiting favors for UNC basketball, so I don't think he will show up to Signing of Stars. I could see him recording a Jumpman video/ad
January 30th, 2017 at 1:49 PM ^
Michigan is the exclusive Jordan football school and that's a growth opportunity for his empire. That's my hope for him coming (on his side) and why I would expect a video at the least.
Dude cares about dollars!
January 30th, 2017 at 1:52 PM ^
How would him showing up help growth of his "empire"? I don't see any growth, thus no incentive for him to leave Florida in February for a trip to Michigan
January 30th, 2017 at 2:13 PM ^
Michigan is putting on the biggest signing day show in CFP and Harbaugh is going to grab a million headlines.
Michael Jordan and his brand of football gear will be a part of that; if he appears that will be at the center of it.
High school and youth football kids/parents (the on-field apparel market) will see those stories and some will be more likely to end up buying Jordan brand.
January 30th, 2017 at 2:24 PM ^
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't sell Brand Jordan football cleats. I can't find any when I searched the Nike website: http://m.nike.com/us/en_us/pw/n/1j7?sl=jordan%20football%20cleats&ipp=36
January 30th, 2017 at 2:42 PM ^
You're right; Looks like those are just Michigan player exclusives for now (all the better for 'crootin with I guess). Bad example.
Sells more other gear then. They're not giving Michigan all that apparel money for just the M branded gear sales.
January 30th, 2017 at 2:44 PM ^
They do sell Jordan brand football cleats, check out Eastbay

Thanks for the vindication! I admitted cleat defeat too quickly.
January 30th, 2017 at 3:12 PM ^
Either way, him showing up would only convince Michigan fans to buy more Jordan gear which is pennies on the dollar to his few hundred million dollar empire that you previously mentioned. I love the Michigan is associated with MJ and Brand Jordan just as much the rest of you but it makes no sense for him to come from his perspective. He'll be on the golf course in Florida smoking a cigar
January 30th, 2017 at 3:57 PM ^
Or in da club smoking cigars. Guy always liked to get down and let loose.
January 30th, 2017 at 1:54 PM ^
I don't know if he cares about Michigan per se, but he cares enough about his brand to show up here in the past.
January 30th, 2017 at 2:49 PM ^
It's spelled Jordon
January 30th, 2017 at 1:41 PM ^
Braylon Edwards?
Maybe Gisele can make it in place of Tom this year?
January 30th, 2017 at 1:48 PM ^
I doubt Braylon would come. Plus, he is probably still angry that someone other than the best receiver on the team wore number one last season.
January 30th, 2017 at 1:55 PM ^
I am pretty sure he already confirmed he would be there.

He's back in school so highly likely he would pop in.

This is not necessarily directed at you but I see braylon catch a lot of heat or often end up on the wrong side of the joke. I do not get it. Are you all Cleveland based michigan fans?
January 30th, 2017 at 1:50 PM ^
Book it.
January 30th, 2017 at 1:59 PM ^
that would be awesome
January 30th, 2017 at 5:13 PM ^
be awesome, and the people who negged you can eat a bag of...
January 30th, 2017 at 8:36 PM ^
No. Enough already. Sports is a nice escape from all the political bullshit. Stay away.
January 30th, 2017 at 5:59 PM ^
But she has "no hope" LOL.
January 30th, 2017 at 2:07 PM ^
Michigan State University athletic department has confirmed that The Situation will host the Spartans' signing day celebration, A Day of Disrespekt. It was hoped that Pauly D would also attend but he has a prior commitment to DJ a wedding in Sea Girt. "Still, this is quite a coup," Head Coach Mark Dantino said. "As a team we have much to learn about the power of disrespekt from 'The Sitch.'"
January 30th, 2017 at 2:08 PM ^
Can someone inform me why he was treated like royalty at MSU? Seems bizarre. Am I missing somerthing?
January 30th, 2017 at 2:13 PM ^
they really, genuinely love and admire him.
