Some MSU/Nebraska Gifs

The last one wins the internet today.

the game is over for everyone but him. He's just standing there like a bewildered pity clown begging for it to not be over as everyone else is deep into congratulations, handshakes, etc. "One se...can I get one second? Just one second, guys? One? It's not over, it can't be over. Why is everyone on the field? It can't be ov...can I get a second? Just a se....." GLORIOUS

Serves Dantonio right.

Dantonio one finger GIF: " I need a miracle"
Upvote if you get the reference...

They probably got screwed on the out of bounds call; but there was contact so it's by rule not reviewable. Plus, when you're sprinting like that even some light pushes can make you off balance and put you out of bounds. And given Nebraska had just gone 60 yards in 3 plays I have full confidence they would've scored anyways given they still would've had 3 plays to work with.
The time call at the end was absolutely correct.
LOVE THE GIFS!
November 8th, 2015 at 9:18 AM ^
They gave up a 12 point lead in 4 minutes, let the Huskers drive the field with less than a minute remaining, and then can't make a first down after a bad kick gave them excellent field position. They might have got screwed that play but the Spartans imploded down the stretch.
November 8th, 2015 at 1:04 PM ^
Yeah, people forget they had the ball at midfield at the end of the game with time on the clock. They wasted the last 7 seconds, not the refs or Nebraska.
November 8th, 2015 at 12:05 PM ^
I am not confident that he would have not have made another such mistake.
November 8th, 2015 at 8:52 AM ^
I've never been so grateful to Nebraska. I love all those fans.

Hard to forgive stealing half of our NC.
November 8th, 2015 at 9:05 AM ^
You can blame the coaches for that with their Tom Osborn retirement gift.
November 8th, 2015 at 9:57 AM ^
pleading and begging the pollsters to vote for Nebraska because of Osborne's retirement. After needing an illegal kicked ball to beat an unranked team, it still kills me that they were awarded half.
November 8th, 2015 at 11:03 AM ^
It does NOT kill me - in fact I never think of it all.
On the rare occasions I happen across a Husker who wiishes to rehash it, I mention the kicked ball and that with replay in place they don't win that game.
Therefore - NOT shared!
November 8th, 2015 at 2:06 PM ^
Agreed, I will also never forget that pathetic Scott Frost postgame interview.
November 8th, 2015 at 9:47 AM ^
Nebraska fans are still a pain in the ass to me, as they constantly won't leave me the hell alone on my YouTube account, constantly talking sh*t about how they would have destroyed us in 97.
Bottom line for me: Thank you for that game last night, Nebraska. Now lose the rest of your games.

And the internet... It's such a glorious place today. Full of schaudenfreude, so deliciously full...

The fan being carried off in that last one makes it priceless
November 8th, 2015 at 10:23 AM ^
+1 for catching that. That is hilarious.
November 8th, 2015 at 1:08 PM ^
I missed that, that's awesome!
He's totally undaunted by the fact that he's probably being hauled off to jail and will pay a stiff fine and burn a lot of hours dealing with this.
Totally worth it. He'll show this to his grandkids.
November 8th, 2015 at 2:44 PM ^
Hahaha! I didn't see that until you mentioned it. And he still has his fist raised triumphantly as he's being carried off. That's golden.
November 8th, 2015 at 9:16 AM ^
They skimmed by all season by luck, the one-trick Cook to Burbridge show and maybe nefarious intervention.
This one-wheel train was going to come off the tracks at some point.
All stats indicate they are barely a top 25 team.
They could lose 2 more games.
Even D'antonio admitted you can't blame the refs when you let the other team gain like 150 yards in passing in the last 4 minutes.
Nebraska gained 499 yards and came back from 12 points down in the final two minutes.
November 8th, 2015 at 9:02 AM ^
They have been barely getting by all season. They were playing the card of "finding a way to win" and "never giving up". Actually they are just an ok team. They had a loss or losses coming. They just wouldn't admit it. Nebraska was running wild on that defense.
November 8th, 2015 at 9:42 AM ^
But according to them, they weren't barely surviving awful competition all year, they called themselves scrappy.

They put the "S" in crappy.
November 8th, 2015 at 10:26 AM ^
Just to add to this, I kept hearing "it's 60 minutes of football" whenever they got challenged on how close many of their games were. Just lying to themselves!!
November 8th, 2015 at 12:08 PM ^
Mork was hoping for 60:00:01 of football. Sorry, Mork... :-(
November 8th, 2015 at 3:06 PM ^
didn't see this comment.

November 8th, 2015 at 9:31 AM ^
from the second to last msu possession to the end they were nuts. The camera just kept focusing on that one guy haha
November 8th, 2015 at 9:20 AM ^
Spartan fans should cheer up, I just got word that Nebraska didn't beat Magic Johnson's statue.
November 8th, 2015 at 9:20 AM ^
That gif of Dantanio holding up his finger is an instant classic.
November 8th, 2015 at 9:30 AM ^
Is also funny
November 8th, 2015 at 10:19 AM ^
Ha, just noticed that. It's like he's saying, "Oh shit, Dantonio gonna lose it when he realizes no seconds left..."
November 8th, 2015 at 9:21 AM ^
You play with fire, and eventually, you get burned.
MSU has been a paper tiger all season. Granted Cook is the real deal, but they've skated by and lucked out almost every single week against teams they theoretically should have pummeled, and they needed a miracle of miracles that was gift-wrapped and hand-delivered from the football gods themselves to beat Michigan.
They'll get exposed big time against OSU. They're not a top-10 team. They never were this season. I'd love to see them get relegated to either the Citrus/Outback Bowl, get exposed by an SEC squad, and then begin their fade back into nothingness where they belong.

I don't think they will ever be a bad team with Dantonio as a coach. As long as he is there, that program will likely find there way into a bowl game every year. Without him, they may be screwed.

Ummm. Nothing tastes better on a Sunday morning than Wheaties with Sparty tears.

I think you overestimate Ohio State.

They're offense had had issues with Mr. I didn't come to play school at QB, but at pretty much every other position, Ohio is a much better team. With JT Barrett back, they should roll State.
November 8th, 2015 at 9:33 AM ^
This loss is evidence, front and center, of karma....
November 8th, 2015 at 9:39 AM ^
Michigan is in fact back. And this season, despite their 8-0 srart, has shown MSU's run among the top of the conference is over. This was supposed to be their last best shot. So much for that. I predict that plummet in the rankings. All of them.
