No real surpises, hopefully Thomas Gordon is ready to step up as he could be key when ND spreads it out

It's a good distinction to make that he was not throwing up blood.

From the sound/look of it I think he suffered a pulmonary contusion. Usually resolves, without permanant complications, on their own(<1 week), but can be pretty serious initially.  Wouldn't expect him to play this week if this is the case.

Just saw the official depth chart released for ND game on the rivals site. It says Carvin Johnson (doubtful) but Roundtree is listed first without the same. I'm not sure if he's feeling much better or if Rivals goofed up.

My bad looked again it doesn't say "official" it also still has Van Slyke listed at safety. I'm not sure why they would list Johnson "doubtful" and not do that for Roundtree and put "out' about Van Slyke. They're probably affiliated with the paper that will not be mentioned.

Carvin looked pretty good on Saturday in both coverage and stopping the run. Hopefully Marvin Robinson gets a shot to play with Thomas Gordon at Spur.

Don't mess around with internal bruising. If Roundtree needs to sit this week to make sure he's good for the rest of the year, then do it. We mass produce shifty slot guys.

I seem to recall Mouton getting hurt as well, requiring attention from the trainers. I was rather inebriated, so hopefully I am mistaken, or else it does not seem to be too serious? Can anyone confirm?

And man, Roundtree - wow. Just wow. Way to get up from that hit. Sucks if he can't make it for the next game as he'll be needed, I can't wait to see him back on the field, whenever that may be.

Players stepping in will have to step up and play hard.  Hopefully we won't have to miss Roy, and Carvin for too long.  As for Van Slyke I wish him the best in his recovery.  Keep working hard in rehab Jared!!  As for Fitz, I really hope that he's ready against ND.  He's appears a lot more shifty then the other backs and should be a really great fit in this offense.  Our 5 headed monster at RB is awesome!
