Softball vs. Rutgers
After blowing away Rutgers almost as efficiently as possible yesterday, Michigan faces off against the Scarlet Knights again today. A win would clinch the Big Ten Championship, so you can be the team will be locked in! Driesenga in the circle, let's get this underway.

Strong first inning at the dish as well - a Blanco blast & a Romo sac fly have the Wolverines on top early, 3-0!

They certainly seem willing to get creative on the basepaths, which I always respect.
Big K to end the threat. Unlucky inning, a couple throws that were just a split-second late that could've prevented the run from scoring. Back to work at the plate!
Lol, gotta love Rutgers intentionally walking Romo with the bases loaded. Funny thing is, it was probably the right call! Rutgers lucky to get out of the inning giving up just 2 runs after loading them up with no outs. 5-1 to the good!
Respect Romero! Two runs, have to give Rutgers credit for limiting the damage. Scrappy crew aren't they. Let's Go Blue!

Yep - too many pop-ups. I still did have to chuckle at the announcers talking about what a great job Rutgers' pitcher has been doing - only ceding 5 runs in 3 innings! Goes to show how high the expectations are for our offense.
2-out single is all Rutgers gets in the top of the 4th! Back to the Maize & Blue!

WOW! This team is an offensive juggernaut! Good to great hitters from 1-9, outstanding pitching, solid defense and Hutch gives them that killer instinct to dominate and take no prisoners. This is got to be the year for another NC!
True, especially after two in a row and ranked #1 for most of the season. But, if anyone can challenge them it's UofM and this team looks primed and ready to do so. Fingers crossed we get a rematch of last years WS with UofM prevailing this time for the NC.
Did something good just happen? I just realized that with my windows open I can hear cheering from somewhere, and I'm guessing it might be the game.
