I went to Michigan between 92-96. I came in to the fab five and left with 97 championship team. Oh and hockey was winning championships too. In pretty resigned to the fact that I peaked then and now it's just about enjoying the ride down to the bottom.

It's actually fine once you accept it.

Woke up next to my girlfriend this morning. WD is moving up in the world. She says it's cool "I'm so dedicated to my cute little sporting events"..... Yeah. I'm kinda easing her into the whole WD thing.

Make sure that the rules of your sports life are established long before you get married.  No weddings on fall Saturdays, for instance.  Write it into a pre-nup if you have to.  If you wait until after you get married it's too late and you're going to be stuck doing lame-ass couples shit on September Saturdays.  Budget your marital capital accordingly.

Pretty good, anyone else watch Gotham last night? Thought it was pretty interesting, I'll watch a few more to see how it goes. They were smart to introduce all of the future villians of Gotham quickly in the show, drawing you in a bit to want to find out more.

Getting a litte tired of studying for my 4th CPA exam, and the 3 month old still won't sleep for longer than 3ish hours at a time at night, but if those are the biggest problems in my life things can't be that bad.

How are you BiSB?

Have final round of interviews for my dream job today, Barcelona is looking as good as they did under Guardiola. Tea leaves suggest the sacking of DB and Hoke... Overall I'm pretty happy.

Working like a rented mule through tomorrow evening, but Thursday I'll be fly fishing for hybrid bass in SW Nebraska and Friday I'll be guiding some folks on cutthroat trout in an alpine lake in Rocky Mtn Natl Park. Looks like Saturday might be free to actually get immersed in some live college football on the idiot box. So, good week getting better, at least up to kickoff.

I expect we destroy Minny and spend next week wondering where the hell THAT was those other two games. Maybe not, but the story of a season isn't written in September and I'll stick with it.

Sunday I wandered around campus and took pictures around the diag.  I finally got some pictures of the Law School (again) after the construction.  I love the corbels that line the entrances.  It kind of sucked though because it couldn't make up it's mind whether it wanted to rain or not.

Sigh.

Remember when you were all like "Its okay that we were only up 17-10 at halftime to Miami, it was just a bunch of flukes, of course it wasn't a sign of any bigger problem. Anyone worried or negative about it is just trolling!"

Sigh.

Sigh.

Sigh.

Sigh.

Remember when I considered blocking you for being a constant pain in the ass, but didn't because we're trying to be positive today?

Sigh.

(Although I feel compelled to point out that I didn't say nothing was wrong. I said that the game wasn't competitive. Which it wasn't.)

Trying to enjoy these last few weeks of warmer weather. Taking daughter to an Apple orchard and swimming at the local pool if it's warm enough. Now, if only the sun would shine down on the Michigan football program again...

I2 straight nights of police sweeps, lockdowns, and freaked out kids on the Alabama campus. Some jackass has been commenting on a sorority video that "the day of retribution is near." 2 nights ago, Tutwiler was completely swept after claims of masked gunmen. Last night, my daughters dorm had 5 cop cars pull up at 12:30am. So my daughter's first month of college has been less than ideal.

Things are going rather well at the moment - just got out of what will be my last meeting today, so there is that. Not being a fan of too many meetings but having too many scheduled, I revel in these light days, as I call them, since it means I can get actual work done. Real, actual work. It also means more time spent with my eyes wandering over to the other monitor, where I am right now talking about how things are and....oh wait...

DTE Energy cut power to our neighborhood at 7:00 PM for line maintenance. Turns out there was a fire at the top of a pole so I decided not to vent my frustrations on you.

My wife, on the other hand, was ready to wrap the electrical wire around anyone wearing a DTE hard hat...

I often tell people that there is a little-known clause which is part of just about everything that we do - at least in most situations - which more or less reads "we have the right to maintain the system". Especially if it is an immediate hazard, sadly there is no time for pleasantries in those cases. Hopefully, you weren't out too long. Equipment fires for us can be bad news really quick.

Had an interview for a job that would be a huge upgrade over my current situation. I'd be moving across the country. I killed it and the guy liked me, so now I'm twiddling my thumbs for a few days.
