And my family sees him walking along with his teammates as they are heading to soccer practice. Almost always smiling.
so who sees Denard on campus?
he can pass the ball to himself, and block his own shots!!
you might be able to get a glimpse...
something like this:
... who tries to see denard on campus, but can't because he's to fast.
Denard's to fast as Zoltan's to Space Emperorness?
I see him almost everyday on campus, people just go by and give him a "nice game" or something along that lines, but he never is followed by a crowd of people. usuall just him and maybe 2 other guys just chillin'
I'm just sad I have good, well at least decent ethics, and respect for HIPAA. Whenever a player comes into the hospital (sometimes just to visit friends/family) the evil part of my mind says "Take a photo and trigger an MGoMeltdown on the boards.".
A photo of Denard in a cast would have half the regulars on the ground and foaming at the mouth. Maybe next time I see a key player I'll see if they'll let me load them into the MRI or something and snap a photo for the heck of it.

Just to be clear, are the shotguns and shovels to be used on or by the internet stalkers?
Creeper alert. Creeper Alert!
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Denard pass out at Stucci's last night, I guess it's pretty serious.
DENARD PASSES OUT AT STUCCI'S!?!?!? Call the Freep!
Bastard! I used this in a similar thread like a week ago!
Twice while I was working at Stucci's in 1999 Tom Brady came in all alone at night and got a three-scoop waffle cone. I felt bad for the poor lonely guy. My family joked that he was going to show up for the Organe Bowl at 300+ lbs.
He definitely is neither poor nor lonely anymore. I remember having to do a fraternity kidnapping of a brother in front of Derrick Alexander. He looked moritfied.
in love with you. And as I say to everyone I admit unrequited love to: sorry bout that.
I've walked by him a few times.
He's probably only 5'9", if that, which makes him that much awesomer, IMO.
he's taller than 5'9".
He's definitely as tall, if not taller than me and I stand at 5'11.
Hmm... well, I'm almost 5'11 and I was looking slightly down. I'll go with 5'10", but I really have trouble thinking he's much taller, especially when you take off the imaginary inches that are normally given on the official roster.
But hey, I might be wrong.
tilted to one side and were you only wearing one shoe? (throwin a little Happy Gilmore) it is great to be a wolverine fan!
just makes him look shorter.
Spacetime warps if you go Denard-speed.
Me thinks thou hast confused him for our 5'7'' runningback who also has dreads
Denard came to my wedding and I told him to kick UConn's ass....He then did. He smiles a bunch and is super humble. He even went into the photo booth with some of my guests.
You win....I take it he must be a good friend of someone in the party. Congrats by the way
No actually we just happen to have our reception at the same hotel the players were staying in during camp. Taylor and Omameh were the first ones that actually came in. The back entrance, which they were using, was right next to the Hall where we had the reception. We got a bunch of pics with them and then they went up and got Denard for us. Pretty interesting story actually and quite an experience. I had a grooms cake that was a winged helmet and Omameh took a picture of it to show some of the other guys. Josh Furman actually came in and danced with my mom.
Big fan of that guy, hope he can make a difference soon.
Ha and why is that?
I thought you were just being sarcastic and making that stuff up (He went in the photo booth, good one!) lol. And it's actually true. Great story sir.
Actually no, that's my dad....we got it for him as a gift for helping out.
Seems like I've seen these pics before...
Well I posted them on the ESPN boards but that post got deleted so unless you were there...you haven't seen them lol. Our photographer has more but she hasn't given us the photos yet, the ones I have are all from either people who sent them to me or from my personal camera.
Yeah, I was there. Do you not recognize my avatar?
I sure do, if I remember correctly that would be Jever's...but I could be mixing them up. and I'm sure you recognize me: M&B09....This is my name on here (also my xbox gamer tag). Dabraylon knows me as both of these names because of that. I forget sometimes that I am known under two identities.
The funny part about the original post on the ESPN board is that not only did they delet it, but they banned me for it as well for 24 hours. I questioned them in my reinstatement about the fact that you can ONLY put up a picture of yourself, or so the rules say, as your avatar - but as soon as you post a picture (with the faces blurred out) they ban you? It was really odd.
It's Red_n_Guilty over there. I was disappointed when those pics were taken down (there are more everyone). I wanted to show college roommates.
Duh, it's red....how did I not know that....Well if you click the picture you can go to the photostream and it has all of the other ones I posted in that thread that got taken down.
You're saving your "A" material for the 12-year-olds on the ESPN message boards?
It's where I got my start. There's a solid group of like 10 guys on there that are reliable posters. I got my name there in 2004, MgoBlog didn't even let you post stuff until 2008 I think.
I don't know if you have already given the itneresting points of this story or not. But, if not, you need to post about this day. I like reading stuff like that over most of what gets posted on the board nowadays.
Well the interesting point was that they crashed the wedding, which I was perfectly fine with.
Other notable things:
-Taylor Lewan was my 2nd dance of the night after the my wife and I danced Taylor ran out and grabbed me (which was a suggestion by one of my friends and the reason they came into the wedding. He saw them poking their head in from the hallway and he said it would make my night if he ran up and danced with me. So after my wife and I danced in comes running Taylor Lewan). So people I danced with at my wedding, I hate dancing BTW, were 1. My new wife and 2. Taylor Lewan.
-Some other players did the cupid shuffle. Not sure who they were, I had had a few drinks at that point.
-Either Furman or JeRon Stokes danced with my mom, I'm not sure which one he was but he wore #6 he said to my mom.
-I have a picture of Lewan, Omameh, my wife and I in the photo booth.
- Lewan signed our guest platter thing, and Denard took pictures with my Groomsman in the photo booth and signed that book.
And that's about it. We also saw Kovaks in the hall walking through, as a lot of other players were, and we yelled "Kovaks!" at him...I think he was shocked someone knew who he was.
That's really cool. It's going to be story that you wont get tired of telling. If the football team showed up at my wedding, I am not sure if I would pay attention to anyone else.
That's exactly what happened. People kept asking my wife were I was because I was in the hall with all my groomsman and she was in dancing with her bridesmaids.
did you lead or did he? Or did you do the Wedding Singer butt grab thing to each other?
I think it's the haircut.
Because I think that top picture can help to settle the up-thread disagreement over whether Denard is +/- 5'10"...
I'm about 5 10/5 11
Which hotel is that? It looks like the hotel I just got married at. I'll be pissed if I missed them.
The Four Points right across from Briarwood Mall.
That's the other one I thought it might be.
That, my friend, may be the perfect wedding.
I was eating with some friends late last night at Denny's in ann arbor and Denard walked in with his girlfriend. No one really paid much attention to him and I don't think many people knew who he was besides our table. He was very friendly though. We just said keep up the good work and he smiled and said thanks and that was that.
Good to know Denny's is serving black people these days
Hey Blue Blue Blue, are you related to blueblueblue?
My thoughts exactly. Lower case bbb would not tolerate a post of this nature.
For your information I am vowing to cut down on the bitching about threads, thanks much to the prodding of level-headed guys around there like 'Shoe. Now, every time I want to complain about a thread I give myself a little "corporal mortification" - something like...
Seeing that I'm his age and I go to school there probably not creepy. If a thirty year old man did it, probably creepy.
I saw him at the art fair with a person I assume to be his GF. Nobody was bothering him but then again it was before the season started.
People never make a fuss over him, he's usually with one or two people. I heard him humming a tune one of the times, which was kinda cool.
What kind of stories is the OP expecting? We see him on campus. He walks around. Sometimes he has a backpack, sometimes not. The excitement ends there. People don't make a fuss because for the most part we're a respectful bunch.
walk around wearing socks and sandals. That is all.
I saw him at meijer with a certain lady friend. I just gave him a head nod, didn't want to bother him.
I'll be that guy - there are many of us wondering. Those of you that have seen him with what you believe to be his girlfiend...
... is she smokin' hot or what?
Natl. Heisman Hype, and not a single "I dry-humped Denard's leg at Meijers" story.
I'm so proud of us.
If there's a Michigan Football Players board, they're probably trading stories about how these middle-aged ladies in Meijer stare in this creepy fashion but thank god don't dry hump their legs.
Because, guilty as charged. I never say anything, but I am sure my dorky smile of delighted recognition is unmistakable.
Meijer is always a good time. I love going in on Thursday nights when the fraternity brothers are stocking up for the weekend. I can feel my liver twinging in memory of my younger days.
I see him MWF in Angell Hall. He's always talking to a friend or going up to class, nothing too exciting. I always am happy to see him though, as I actually don't see many football players around campus throughout my day, but some of the freshmen live in my residence hall.
It was actually pretty weird, for the Notre Dame game, I saw some of the players who are redshirting/don't travel just walking around South Quad about an hour before kickoff. Wouldn't you think that they watched the game in an athletic building or something? (but I really don't know)
I always thought seeing famous people in person was cool. I think I always well. People love to talk about it which makes it a great conversation piece too
for the new avatar
Still kinda creepy but not nearly as creepy as the old one
I saw him on the Commuter North / Commuter South buses a few times last year (I was in CE but lived on central, so I took them daily back and forth). He was always wearing that blue Adidas pullover thing that all the athletes have, and always sat in the back, where there's two benches facing each other. I never saw anyone gush over him, but he wasn't HE16MAN then either.
I saw him on campus today. His dreads look a little out of sorts. He must be having a bad hair day. Judging by his scent, I believe he used Axe Body Wash this morning. I followed him to Subway and he ate a meatball sandwich on wheat bread with Provolone cheese. He paid for it with a $20 and he had to accept 15 $1 bills as change because they were out of 5s and 10s. He seemed a little bit annoyed by this, which is kind of unusual, since this kind of thing usually doens't bother him. Then he met up with a friend and they talked bout playing Call of Duty on XBox 360 later this week. His XBox username is Dilithium_man. I'll probably look for him online Sunday.
and thanks for posting.
Braylon Edwards grabbed me a la Lewan grabbing Denard when I was a freshman and threw me on a pile of snow in front of both the South and West Quad co-eds during the yearly Snow War. As he did it he yelled "Yeah Baby, Yeah Nigg**!". Inmediately after that he gets nailed on the mouth by a snowmball thrown from a girl living in South Quad. Next thing I knkw he and 5 dudes chase the girl into South Quad... never to be seen again. That goes to show that not all Michigan Stars are as humble as Denard.
I was there and I still tell the "I watched Braylon Edwards bodyslam a dude" story. That was actually you? Are you just putting yourself into the story?
Anyway, it happened, and it was awesome.
I still tell stories of Tai Streets in our S. Quad-W. Quad snowball fights. He stood in the back, out of the fray, and launched snow-boulders at the W. Quad people that thought standing in the back meant they were out of the fray.
When I was a freshman, I once held a door open for that chick who was on the real world... she said thanks...
can I get a "Cool Story Brah"?
From the looks of it you two could have had something special. I don't know how you blew it, but you did. ;)
Do you know her name or what one she was from?.....not that I watch that show or anything.......
Back around when the Wii came out, in like Jan. 2006, I was in line at a Target at like 7am on a Sunday morning to get one and I was behind Chad Henne. Even at 7am...he was magestic.
Also, I went bowling on my birthday in 2008, and in the lane next to me was Mike Hart, Steve Breaston, Adrian Arrington, and Larry Foote. So sweet. Those black dudes sure could bowl, I tell ya.
I was an RA in West Quad last year. I would see him around all the time. He was the coolest, down to earth guy, and super respectful. A little different from another resident on my floor I had a year earlier by the name of Tate (who I think has matured a little bit since then hopefully)
It;s just cool to see former residents of mine playing on TV, like Vince Smith, Terrence Robinson and JT Floyd. Even James Rogers was my next door neighbor my sophmore year. Kinda surreal.
I walked by Denard today and noticed that I was taller. While his life is way better than mine, I can relish the fact that I get access to more amusement park rides than he does.
I once had Mike Hart sit down next to me in class while I was reading MGoBlog on my laptop. His picture happened to be on the screen. I turned to see who sat next to me, saw it was Mike, and gave him a nod as I hit Apple-W on my keyboard. It was MGoAwkward.
Moral of the story? These are real kids. Let 'em go to class without making a big deal out it. I hope that's what's happening on campus right now.
Last week I saw Denard twice, he was in conversation both times, but it was really cool to see him. He, of course, was all smiles.
Denard loves him some blimpy burger.
