This will be your opportunity to discuss the offense and the offensive playcalling.

Excellent game by the entire offense. Liked the decision to go for two, just a bad decision by Gardner in an otherwise great performance. Exceeded every expectation I or anyone had and didn't deserve to lose. Butt, Dileo, Gardner, the RBs, the Oline, Gallon...just a great game. Borges pulled out everything he had, insane to complain about this game I think.

Damn. I don't know how to feel.

Need to see the replay, but was Gallon's route on the 2pt conversion right? He was right in the same area as Dileo and looked like it caused extra traffic there.

Where was that offense all year, other than the first two games and, I guess, Indiana??  Made all my predictions turn out awully stupid-looking, but I am pretty happy about that part.

that you can probably answer yourself, "Was that the goto, in you back pocket, absolute best 2 point play that we have in our arsenal?"  If he says "Yes", he should be fired for not having a better play designed for just such a situation.  If he says "No", he should be fired for the same incompetent play calling that comes up at the most critical point of all the other games this year, he screwed up.

Screw moral victories.  This isn't Duke.  Remember, this is Michigan for godsakes.

but I did not like the 2 point play.

Not as much the play, but that we showed it, and after they called the TO came out with the exact same play! They saw the formation and made a plan against that formation and we played right to it.

I also don't want to say anything negative about Devin really, he played an amazing, tough game, but had no business throwing that ball there. Nothing was open.

I don't want to sound like I'm being critical because like I said, he played an amazing game but he didn't even look. He hiked and threw it. If he waits 1 second Funch is probably open in the middle; or if he tucks there was a huge hole right up the middle.

It was just one play, but if measured completely objectively not factoring in how he did the rest of the game, it was definitely a bad throw.

No, we didn't get the win, but that was one dude putting the whole team on his back for 60 minutes and playing out of his mind.  Goddamnit, he deserved to get that win.  What a performance.

Borges did a great job, too.  He has to go, but he deserves a pat on the back for that gameplan.

Borges called a pretty good game today. Unfortunatley it underlines why he should be shown the door. He was right, the offense can be good, when he gets out of its way. I look forward to what this offense can do next year with a consistent offense coordinator.

Well, after a few weeks of what might be considered troubling production, we managed to get 7.35 yards per offensive snap today as well as 4.3 yards per carry, both of which were excellent numbers to see out of this unit in a game where they were predicted to not be able to manage much. They gave the Buckeyes one hell of a game right to the wire. I don't know that I would have more than minor quibbles with playcalling. Pulling out all the stops got us 603 yards against a serviceable defense. Hard to complain about that.

If Devin was a little more mobile, he had a hole between LG and LT (or LG and C) for the two. But that's obviously totally unfair second guessing. Just illustrates how close we were.

My only question is where has that been all year? I wouldn't mind parting with Borges. Funk earned another year i think. Surprisingly, the interior held up very well.

Borges can go, Jackson can leave with his head held high and next year if anything we will have some bigger WR's and will see if that helps Gardner on some of his throws.

Only issue I had was where the fuck was this all season, Al? If our O had played like that all year were 10 wins easy.

The success running was set up by the screen game in the first half. It kept OSU from stacking the box and blitzing every play. This is how Michigan's offense should have worked all year. Working to set up the run rather than running to set up the pass. It was clear early on that the O-line was not ready for manball. For some reason though Al insisted on manball at all costs.

Borges can't win for losing here. He doesn't even have his own QB yet either- just 2 young classes of his own players. Wonder if he will still be canned.

A slightly better throw by gallon and that would have been six This should be Hoke's worst year. With the experience, recruiting, game plan consistency (offense & defense now installed) arrows all pointing up and another year of Gardner - things are looking up. Too bad next year's schedule is brutal.
