Here is your snowflake thread for the offense. Unlike last week, I am pretty sure we're not going to OT here.
The nutty Michigan coverage isn't so much about Harbaugh as it is a signal to the Big Ten that Fox wants to party.
Indiana is dreadful and if they had even a remotely competent D, this would have been an even bigger disaster.
I'm so tired of people like you.
Agreed Here2CWoodson. Miserable pricks abound.
Offense snowflake thread thought. I liked everything.
KC Wolve, bigblue1981 and a few others are awful.
My apologies for the insta-reaction and I am really happy for the guys that played but this was terrible and if RR was the coach, a lot more people than me would be saying things like this. Really happy for the win and especially Gallon.
Rich Rodriguez isn't the coach. It's time for some people to move on.
Once again style points matter more to some posters than outcomes.
Despite a multiple school record game (we've played a lot of bad teams before Indiana) I get the feeling some folks were still on the edge of their armchairs waiting for something bad to happen so they can pounce and blame it on Borges. I'm not saying we don't have still have issues, and that Indiana is a good yardstick, but for fuck's sake, just enjoy the team's success a little.
I'm very happy for the win and I should prob stay away from the board during and right after games. Also, my post didn't mention anything about a coach being fired. I am out. Enjoy the win and go blue!!!
Penn State's defense was equally awful... At the very least this gave us the all-consuming hope we desire for the rest of the season.
My apologies for the insta-reaction. Happy for the win.
You suck! Be an Ohio fan
Worse than Akron's or UConn's?
HEY EVERYONE MICHIGAN WON TODAY CAN THAT JUST BE GOOD ENOUGH???
Shut the hell up! Cry baby!
A game in which we have 751 yards of total offense and break Michigan records for passing is unacceptable.
I agree that Indiana's defense is dreadful but we did what we needed to do to win and the score shows that. I only hope that Al keeps of the variety of plays for future games. I feel after few good games he goes back to the play style we don't like. But today we needed this amazing offense and we should be good if we keep improving.
Why do people like you watch sports? You are unhappy when we lose, and unhappy with many wins. Are you just miserable for most of football season?
Here I was gearing up for my best impression and you're getting it posted from the game. Nice.
IU vs OSU should be a lot of fun to watch.
Jeremy Gallon, Devin Gardner, Devin Funchess, and All Borges.
I love all Borges too, and there's a lot of him to love.
My biggest issue with Borges is that this should have been Michigan's identity on offense all year. I know IU has a horrible defense, but this game was certainly good for our confidence. Gardner played phenomenal and Gallon is unreal.
you can't have pa without running it.
Obviously, but if you run it for negative yards over and over agian, you can use your passing game to open up the run game instead, just like the shotgun delay plays that were used today.
many people can't fathom the idea of throwing to set up the run. traditionalist only running to set up the pass.
...is something Borges is known for.
Find that video of SDSU's bowl game; tell me what you think.
Will he take us back?
Many of our runs seemed to come from the shotgun or pistol. The stretch run didn't work and we tried it a lot. Surprinsgly though after we got the interception and we needed 2 first downs to win and we kept running the ball I was getting frustrated thinking here we go again with the conservative run plays like last week. The difference is Fitz broke some runs. Overall the game plan seemed a lot better though and Devin looked good most of the time, threw good deep balls, scrambled well, although made me a little nervous when pressured, but all in all a good day.
Actually, Borges called a throw for the first down that essentially sealed the game.
I don't know how anyone can be just "OK" with the offensive gameplan. It was an A+, no questions asked.
I was critical of last week's WE WILL RUN DAMMIT game plan, and that disaster wasn't erased by today's game. That said, I was very happy with the offensive plan today. Very aggressive most of the game, and very successful. Nice game Mr. Borges.
Who gets the gameball: DG, Fitz or Gallon? All 3 had career games.
DG and Gallon, but I'm leaning to DG. His ability to buy time and make plays with his arm or leg allowed him to match and eventually beat IU (hell of a game from them, if they ever got a defense.....oh boy). I only got to it at the beginning of the 3rd Q so I might have missed earlier action, but I'd give game ball to him.
Al Borges A+
Wow is all I can say. 751 yards, 83 plays, which is good for just a smidge over nine yards per offensive snap on average. Granted, it is against the worst defense in the Big Ten, but I think I will take that. There were 248 yards of rushing, and 503 yards of passing.
Rabble rabble rabble
Eff that coach. Let's get our share of "key words" in this we and keep our count high!
We are fine!!
Al definitely knows his ass was on the line after last game. I give him props for responding to it like that. Huge game in every offensive aspect.
No it wasn't. Hoke and the people that matter have faith in him. That's only between your ears.
Well I feel like a dick after last week. Sorry Al.
Indiana or not, 751 yds and 63 pts is no joke.
All praise Al Borges
I thought Kyle Bosch did pretty well.
Saw so many good combo blocks with lewan where they put the end on the ground and then Bosch would totally seal off the linebacker. Very well done. I be the does very well in the UFR.
We are a much better spread team than power I team. I thought Borges called a great game. Honestly, I kept an eye on Magnusson and Bosch and they were good. I'm cautiously optimistc for the rest of the year. We have lots of flaws but can be very dangerous.
I think Kalis replaced Magunson in the second half
If that is the case, the coaches are smarter than me. I was mostly concerned with Bosch but thought Magnusson played well. I'm already trying to convince myself that a Braden Kalis Glasgow Bosch Mangusson line could be really good and will be toghether for at least two full years and 3 years for all except Glasgow with Kugler getting ready to play.
