We afforded Maryland the benefit of 312 yards of offense, the kicker is, of course, what they did with it in comparison to the nearly 400 yards we put up. Theirs was a fairly balanced attack - 13-24 passing for 165 yards, so 6.88 yards per attempt and 12.69 yards per completion allowed by Michigan. Maryland gained 147 yards on the ground on 34 attempts, good for 4.2 yards per attempt.

Let's put it like this - Maryland's points per play were 0.3898 - ours were appreciably less than this at 0.2319.

MIchigan yet again failed on a fourth down conversion. Funchess should be benched for OSU. No point in have him out there. His crucial drops are now a subject of embarrassment and derision.

but Michigan run 2 deep safeties against CJ Brown the entire last 3 drives when they were desperate to stop the run and couldn't?  Pretty sure I saw 6 in the box on one of their 8 yard runs.

This was a team loss, horrible offense, horrible special teams(except for one really nice fake punt), horrible coaching.

And, the defense was horrible, particularly pass defense. Michigan pass defense has been non existent under Mattison.

The defense did not lose the game, as there was plenty of haplessness all around, but anyone who thinks this D is good is not seeing straight.

My wife who never watched games, saw the end and asked me" whatever happened to the Michigan that used to win and be fun to watch"? Exactly.

Time to clean house , and, not just coaches, too many players just can't get it done.

Expect new staff and high player turnover.

I remember meeting Jake Ryans parent at the pep rally before the Gator bowl and how proud they were of their son playing for Michigan.  It's just too damn bad he had to waste his career playing for a clown of a coach instead of someone who knew how to properly utilize him.

Maryland just ran through our D. Kind of disappointing by the lack of development! Secondary gives up big plays and the DLINE gets pushed around! Pathetic that Maryland with all their 2 and 3 star players dominated us!

I don't mind that Mattison will be gone with Hoke.
