We’ll only go as far as hot THREE POINT SHOOTING will take us this year. That seems like that’s pretty much been the case every year. When the threes aren’t falling at a high rate… we’ll look terribly bad and most likely lose.

When the threes are falling pretty good… we’ll look pretty good.

There may have been some truth to Jon Horford’s statements about Coach B’s offense not being ideal to develop a big man and low post play. Everybody just has the green light to jack up threes, without even glancing at the low post.

What big man wants to play in that type of offense?

We never seem to have a team that can put on the hardhat and just go to work in the paint for easy baskets when the perimeter shots aren’t falling.

Trey Burke and Nic covered up the flaws in Coach B’s offense, because they were great jump shooters. Coach B’s offense is too dependent on having great three point shooters.

if anyone adjusts his offense to his personnel it's JB.  early on here, he played princeton-style backcutting with 3s.  with morris, burke and stauskus, he went to a lot of pick and roll.  now with a bunch of frosh big men, the pick and roll isn't effective, so he is pretty much stuck on getting good looks from 3.  and that strategy should work.  these guys are just in a funk as a group right now from beyond the arc.

who on this board thought we would be losing 5 guys from last years team; including 3 early entries and 1 transfer?  answer no one.  he likely anticipated one guy jumping to the nba.  i would have even placed that at only 50/50.

he likely thought he only needed 2-3 guys in this class.  chatman was supposed to be can't miss.  he is basically inept right now.  i think doyle and wilson were also borderline top 100 players likely to redshirt.

you can't go out and recruit, offer schollies unless you are pretty damn sure guys are leaving.  he didn't find out until april that all those guys were leaving.  pretty tough to start recruiting then.  that's why he had to add dawkins and MAAR.  i do think dawkins could be a diamond in the rough.

So what? Do you know Kentucky's team would look like this year if everyone stayed 4 years? They'd have NBA all stars coming off the bench. Anthony Davis and Julius Randle and Kidd-Gilchrist would be by starting front court wit Teague and Lamb. Arguably the best current NBA player would be a senior this year.

Good programs lose players to the draft every year. Great programs maintain excellence despite it.

SMU has a lot more talent than we do. I know people will say, "SMU?" But Brown has a lot of superb athletes on that team and Kennedy is a stud who didn't really player that much.

Just no fire. Everything about this team is bad. Every analyst out there says the same thing...no passion, no fire, no toughness, don't fight for rebounds..Basically calling the team pussies, but they can't use that word.

We aren't dysfunctional bcus of poor shooting. These guys still know how to shoot. We're shooting poorly bcus every team in the nation knows that is all we do is look for 3's. It's easy to faceguard shooters when you don't have to worry about any type of dribble drive or post game. Obviously we have no post option, but there's no excuse for our Big 3 to not penetrate.

no enthusiasm, STUPID mistakers over and over again...standing around waiting for the other guy..is there ANYONE that can shoot a 3 with consistency on ths team? Walton befuddles me hes always jacking up 3s and cant make but one maybe two..Irving wtf? Caris wtf? Biefeld is clumsy and awkard, Chapman? yikes...Spike gets a pass for all the good hes done but even he is off this year..is something else going on?

are both clearly hurt.  neither is driving much anymore.  you could see walton struggle to push the ball up the floor.  really need to get him healthy.  i would almost bench him until the IL game on Dec 30.  hopefully, we can get past the likes of coppin state w/o him.

It's worse than 6-5, as far as the committee is concerned we're 5-5, Hillsdale does not count. So we basically have to go 12-6 in conferenc and make the BTT final to get to 19 wins for the selection committee and then we should get in but even that wouldn't be a sure thing.

Honestly, I dont see that happening.

we need to stop recruiting kleenex big men! problem is there is a very negative connotation about beilein's offense and high level big men...
