That's right dude, the beauty of this is its simplicity. Once the plan gets too complex everything can go wrong. There's one thing I learned in Nam...
Small Derrick Green Updates (Good)
That kid is anything but small.
a Shane Morris play action fake to Green, hitting treadwell on a go route.....
Really hoping kid is a Lupe Fiasco\2 Chainz fan...uh...paging aquaman?
A big RB (6", 215 now with some growing left to do, I imagine) with reported 4.3 speed like Green would definitely be a great addition. Looking at the photo, I would say that short yardage plays would not be a problem certainly.
In case anyone is interested, because I am working on this diary and have the data anyway, even if Green joins the class, the average RB in the 2013 class is 6'1", 220 lbs, an increase of about 3 inches and 20 pounds over the incoming freshmen.
His chest is broader than my wingspan.
Hopefully he's hungry for BBQ and Maize and Blue
When is the BBQ?
this guy is built like a fire hydrant, must get
I think he's built like this fire hydrant.
I love those around the stadium. If I were a recruit, I'd committ just because of them.
DO I NEED BUCKLE UP?!?
twitter drama right now between green and some osu fan/blog
anyone else get the feeling that green is mad at OSU and is considering michigan more than before to get back at them and/or commit and stomp them in the future?
derrick green: https://twitter.com/BrOoKyLn_boii27
blockonation then said:
@osusilverbullet I NEVER wanted him....Has nothing to do w/ him going elsewhere....
then derrick green starts responding to him.. if you go to both pages you can see it all
Classic Buckeyes. No Class at all.
Why to people do this to teenage kids. Just let them be.
And then he complains that his comments have been blown out of proportion, mostly by Michigan fans, but *gasp* even some Ohio fans! If your own side is telling you that you've crossed a line, you've probably crossed a line.
I'm sorry but is that someone affiliated with Ohio State calling Michigan "Ann Arbor Community College"? Plus the added irony of someone from Ohio making jokes about other players possibly getting impermissible benefits
Oh geez. I thought it was Country Club. Lol
Apparently Lupe Fiasco/ 2 Chainz not any more popular in Columbus
lol at the NEVER wanting him, who wants a five star RB these days anyways...Ohio fans never cease to amaze me.
B4 the barbecue... Cannot be a bad sign
Looks like he's been through a college S&C program already!
I had a Run DMC t-shirt very similar to that in the late 80s. Good to see the young fella has good taste in music.
Assuming both Fitz and Rawls are back in 2013, which I have no reason to doubt, it would be a waste to play him has a freshman. Michigan does need a Vincent Smith type (good at blitz pickups and short yardage receptions), but Green is unlikely to be it.
Even before any off-field issues with Fitz, I would say there's always been at best a 50/50 shot of him coming back in 2013.
Our depth chart at RB is going to be stacked for a while. That would be quite the competition to watch in the near future.
Hazzard of being buckled up for too long on a hot day...
Dymonte Thomas says on Twitter
He's about to commit :)
Buckle up, everybody.
He is about to commit! :)
Don't you dare, don't you dare toy with my emotions today.
Have been buckled up since friday.
My god, OSU fans should be embarrassed by Urban's childish ploy this week. Green is scheduled to visited Michigan, then Columbus this weekend. But two days beforehand, after full-court pressing Green since day one, Urban suddenly leaks that the Buckeyes "are going in a different direction." Is his head so far up his ass that he thinks the world won't put two and two together? Obviously he was just worried about losing another head-to-head recruiting battle with Michigan. What a pathetic coward.
Sounds like a good idea to me.
I think you are pushing it to say Meyer is perpetrating some “ploy”. I doubt he really cares whether “he lost some head to head recruiting battle to MI” other than losing the actual recruit.
I know several D1 coaches and they really don’t care about that. That is FAN speak.
He most likely ascertained that Green wasn’t going to commit his way and figured it was time to cut his losses and utilize his resources toward someone else.
Trust me, I am no Meyer fan, but coaches just don’t think like that.
(And do I want Green,... "HAIL YES!")
