Slippery Rock Weekly Update
Slippery Rock (7-1) earned their 5th straight victory, defeating the Fighting Scots 44-20 in Edinboro PA. With the victory they set up a game for first place next week against California (PA) at home.
Senior QB Nigel Barksdale threw for 342 yards and a score, while the team amassed 637 yards of total offense.
If Slippery Rock wins next week they will at least clinch a share of the division championship.

Slippery Rock does roll in the passing game, it seems. They are first in passing offense in their conference, averaging 376 yards per game, as well as first in yards per completion at 16.01 yards.
Interestingly, they are also first in their conference in passing efficiency and passing efficiency defense, so they seem to do a decent job of confounding the opposing QB as well. They also average 580 yards per game in offense, which is also first in their conference. Not bad.

Nigel Barksdale might be the greatest QB of all time. According to Slippery Rock's Website, he has a 144% completion percentage!
