Slippery Rock Weekly Update

Submitted by nmumike on

Slippery Rock improves to 3-1 on the season with a 58-34 victory over Mercyhurst (1-3) this weekend. Slippery Rock senior QB Nigel Barksdale had another great game, throwing for over 400 yards with 2 TD's. WR John Schademan caught 11 passes for a school record 229 yards and RB Teddy Blakeman accounted for five TD's, throwing for one, running for three, and catching one.

Several notes of interest: Barksdale is one of only two Rock players to throw for more than 400 yards twice in the same season. Slippery Rock has scored 194 points in the first four games of the year, breaking a school record set in 2000. The Rock is averaging over 48 points per game this year.

stick with the goofy tradition of laughing at the sillyness of the school's name than actually caring about Slippery Rock Football?

Wait, woah they're lighting it up on offense...
