Slightly OT- Future basketball opponent NC State getting worked
NC State is getting killed right now by Oklahoma St in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off championship game, they're down by 20 with a minute to go.
This game looked a bit worrisome with the talent that the Wolfpack brought in but seeing them look awful gives me quite a bit of a confidence boost come November 27th.

to establish clear dominance over the ACC. Will cast a good light on the MD move, should that come off as expected.

For what it's worth (surely not much to the bratwurst-munching contingent of MGoBlog), the ACC is the only conference, top-to-bottom, that can claim it's better than the Big Ten academically.

That's not our fault. And oh yes, bringing in Rutgers will certainly improve things! At least then we can claim to have the top-ranked commuter school in the country.

2 of their starters howell and leslie (their best player) fouled out playing only 16 and 17 minutes respectively. Not saying that this is the only reason...but I think it explains most of it. I think they will still be very formidable.

They have team chemistry issues, and apparently at practice Lorenzo Brown and CJ Leslie are not getting along with Rodney Purvis and TJ Warren (the freshman) and it's causing tension. (I go to NC State now for grad schol, and one of my friends whose a manager on the team told me about these issues.) The result of the arguments in practice was Leslie not starting today. Thankfully, Burke, Hardaway and the rest of our team get along with freshman.

They're a really young team, so i think its likely they'll have games where they struggle against a lesser opponent. They'll be fired up to play us though, so I hope we will still treat them as a top 10 team going into the game.
