Well, Marshall isn't in the MAC anymore-  that's true. Marshall was in the MAC for two separate stretches in its history though, so it's almost as good as MACtion. Really, in Conferece USA, where they currently reside, there have been games which make MACtion seem a bit like a mid-level ACC game or something along those lines. That doesn't happen much, but it has happened.

Marshall takes a lot of academic non-qualifiers. Most schools do not allow props, and many conferences have rules against accepting them. Marshall does allow them. They had six non-qualifiers sit out in 2014.

Good luck to Mr. Scott. I'm glad Marshall takes fellows who don't qualify. Michigan obviously can't do that sort of thing, but a school like Marshall can. It gives them some good players, and gives the players the opportunity to get their academics in order and earn a college degree. Hopefully it works out well for both parties.

Ill be sure to see him play a gm this yr. I normally make it to 1 gm with my pal "Marshall" Mike he hasnt missed a gm in 37 yrs home or away thats a pretty impressive streak
