Single Game Ticket Prices

Submitted by DMill2782 on

Just received an email on this today. They go on sale the June 26th at 8:30AM EDT. First price reflects Endzone pricing and the second is Victors pricing. Pretty awful.

Aug. 30 Appalachian State $70 $95
Sept. 13 Miami (Ohio) $70 $95
Sept. 20 Utah $70 $95
Sept. 27 Minnesota $80 $115
Oct. 11 Penn State $100 $200
Nov. 1 Indiana $80 $115
Nov. 22 Maryland $70 $95

$70 is way too much for some (most) of these games.  I would love to take my son to his first game but no way am I going to pay $70 per to see App St.  Coming from GR, 2 tickets, and parking to see a sub-par UM (blasphamy I know) play a sub-D1 team would cost a minimum $300.  I would be totally fine with that if I was going to see a good team vs a good opponent but not this crap, no way.

I understand the ritual of taking the kids to their first Michigan games. You can go a bit cheaper on this  today and get Appy St. seats on Stub Hub for $60 per corner end zone or sideline 20's for $80 per. Not great but far from turrible based on the kid experience. Buy then a lemon chill for $5, good times.

Save some money and park in a structure or downtown lot if it's cost prohibitive to go to the golf course ($8) and about a 3/4 mile walk. On the way back stop at the MDen and pick your little guy up a hat with the money you save. Enjoy a starbucks for the ride home.

FWIW, if you like risk tolerance you can wait until game day at 1140 right by the stadium and I'd wager you could get seats for $25.

Thanks for the tips!  I realize I was overreacting a bit but I remember getting tickets for $50 per which doesn't seem too long ago.  I also remember getting offered 3-packs for a reasonble price and without the "required donation".  Just seems to have gone overboard in the last 5-10 years.

Don't bother with that.... 1-2 weeks before the game you'll be able to get tickets for $80-100 a PAIR, for sideline seats in the secondary market.

Two years ago I bought a pair of tickets, in section 22 about 30 rows up, for the Minnesota game for just over $50.

There are so many negative nancies on the board.  If the prices are too high, you're mad at DB, and if the prices are too low, you're still mad at DB.

I support my team regardless, and if that means I have to eat balogna sandwiches for a month instead of filet mignon in order to go to a few games, then that's the price I have to pay.  Can we please have a moratorium on whining about ticket prices for at least a month?  Jeez.  Just enjoy your summer and relax... please.

Interestingly enough we got an email last week offering my brother Ap State tickets for $40 each because my brother took over my season tickets so I'm still considered "frend and family" and have a significant number of priority points.  Looks like they're going with tiered pricing based on past purchases.

Are people really not capable of finding the past home schedules and seeing there have been a number of years in the last 25 or so that have been very weak? How about 2012? Air Force, Umass, Illinois, Msu, NW, Iowa, none of them ranked.

It doesn't matter who they play to me. I'm going to see Michigan play. I'd go to an exhibition scrimmage against GVSU.

The prices are ridiculous though. $70 as the starting point against MU and the oepner is just dumb. Charge for the "better" games.

I admire your love for Michigan but most fans are not "super fans" and it does matter who they play if you have seen M play a lot. Every year I love going to the first game because it is special but in all honesty a noon game vs. IU, Minny, or Illinois in October gets old after a few years especially at those prices

But as of yet, you have zero responsibilities in life. Like dude above said, you'll rethink your position when you have real world things going on in your life. You're still looking at the world through a very narrow lens, here's hoping you upgrade to panoramic mode soon...

But that still didn't quite push me over the edge. These prices on the other hand, are just insulting. I mean, I could still go, sure, it isn't really "the money" in and of itself, it's the principle. This may end up being the first year that I don't attend a game. Then again, I may very well change my mind, we'll see.

Fool me once...

I think it is crap that they can just pull prices out of their ass. The PSU game for the ticket packs were 95. Now you can pay 200 to go?

I hate paying the freight for this schedule at 65 per game as a season ticket holder, I can't imagine paying those prices.

They're going to be like $20 on StubHub by time the season rolls around.  Would be willing to bet there will be multiple games that are extremely affordable on there, assuming you have the patience to wait until they drop.

There will be dirt cheap tickets including PSU. I've said it on here before I won't pay over $20-30 for a ticket all year

You are so money with this comment. Absolutely agree. Everything is fresh and no negativity yet; however $70 for end zone seating to watch us hopefully annihilate App St is too rich for my blood. I'll enjoy it from the comfort of my couch.

I'm not going to be able to watch 5 minutes of pre-season coverage without seeing that damned blocked field goal again and App State's coach being carried off the field in the Big House. Why can't we just pretend it never happened?
