UM currently has 201 offers out.  I'd estimate 180 of those are to 4 stars.

About 10-12 are leans to strong leans depending on who you ask.  That leaves you around 170.  If you want to eliminate guys committed to other schools that eliminated about 80 (give or take).  So you are down to 90.  Remove anyone visiting in June.  And then I assume you have 75 or so to pick from and wildly speculate.

I would maybe narrow it down further to people who have visited, as it is more unlikely that someone would be a silent commit without visiting first.

To take it further, its possible that this is an out of state prospect who might face a lot of heat for publicly committing, so they are keeping it quiet.

I'll guess, Devin Bush Jr. or Dontavious Jackson.

Speculating is fun.

Sam said the kid didn't want it public so he could take his visits in peace. Sam also said his stance on silent commits is that they've just named their favorite. I would tend to agree -- especially in this case. If the kid is silent for a couple weeks to an official announcement that is one thing. If he is silent for a few months so that he can take visits...it is not that exciting to me.

May be Dontavious Jackson. During the spring game there were many rumors that he was telling fans he had committed to Michigan but nothing ever came from it. That would be my first guess.

Yeah he goes to one of the biggest high schools in the country. And also, Texas. There are Texas high schools that could beat EMU. He reminds me a lot of David Harris. Jackson and Erroll Thompson are two of my favorite defensive prospects in the class, along with Big Rashan of course

EMU would smoke a highschool team...maybe if it was an All star team, the game would be competitive. Think of all the guys who are high recruits who come in and are never heard from again...now they play against guy who are a few years older on average and have been practicing and weight training for additional years...then there would be college offenses/defenses vs high school

And it's fairly rare for even the best HS programs to have more than 5 or so D1 caliber recruits in a year. Eastern would beat any HS team in the country by about 70 points

This is similar to when people used to say 05 USC could beat the Lions. As abysmal as the Lions used to be, they're still all generally all-conference (or better) performers in college plus a few more years of skill and strength

Yikes, no one's up for hyperbole today? Work getting everyone stressed and feeling literal?

I know no HS team could beat a fbs or fcs team. Kentucky could never beat the Sixers. Bama couldn't beat the Winless Lions. Im the biggest naysayer of those arguments trust me. Just trying to convey the level of competition this young man plays at. Best in the country for his level.
