I know while I am at work this will be the most productive thing I do all day.

Ok i was just watching EspnU and they were interviewing Kevin Sumlin.  They were showing their recruits and it said that their top recruits, Kyler Murray, is the #1 QB and it said DT too.   Is that a typo?   How big is that kid if he also played DT for his team??

Edit:  Brain fart, it means Dual Threat.   Disregard

Come on man...I know you're tired of this recruiting grind and the easy thing to do is stay with OSU and move on. But make this decision for the next 40 years and if Michigan is where you want to be...pick Michigan!

Are you the board sober priest or something? You make the some stupid comment everytime a drinking thread is started. Maybe there are some guys who work night shifts and come home and have a beer in the morning before going to bed. Maybe if you don't like it just move on and not click on the thread. Maybe live a little and not be such a whiny bitch? But using the declarations of a bunch of 18 year olds as an excuse to drink at 6:30am on a Wednesday morning is pretty stupid.

Guess the lesson learned is, if their twitter page changes the day before NSD (*cough* Jefferson and Adams *cough*), they are just as likely to be trolling as they are giving hints

I think it's definitely worth considering the realities that currently exist between the two programs (i.e., their most recent continued success & our woes). Here are three primary contributors to OSU's draw:

1. Meyer has won 3 national championships now & by many accounts was a year or two early with the most recent one - Jim hasn't won any (yet)

2. He's won a ton since arriving (doesn't he have like 2 or 3 losses total since taking over?) - Jim is just getting started

3. Urban has built relationships and inroads with a lot of these kids over a much longer course of time than the new staff has had.

The thing that sticks at me the most is how can you choose OSU when you claim to have grown up a Michigan fan. I know young kids are crazy but even at the ripe age of 18, I was hooked enough on Michigan that there is no way I would've ever committed to OSU over UM had I possessed enough athleticism to garner a scholarship offer.

Holy crap UCLA is loading up! They are getting all the big recruits. It's not looking good for Michigan today. What the hell was Jay Harbaugh tweeting about hearing amazing news?

He had some amazing news? I was hoping amazing would be more than a few three stars but that appears to be what it was.

Man this has been a tough day.  Three guys that we just got straight out recruited for in Clark Smith and Weber.  Wheatley is probably the #amaizing news and that will about round out a good but not great class.

I may kind of give you the "outrecruited" argument for Clark and Weber, even though its hard to say you were outrecruited when you only had 3 weeks to recruit in the first place.  But Smith said on his commitment that UCLA was one of the first teams to contact him when he was a Sophomore.  So to say we were outrecruited for him when we literally just contacted him 3 weeks ago against a team that had been in contact since his sophomore year is kind of misleading.

He will be in Meyer's face and plant a flag in Ohio and own Michigan.  This is the first class and he had barely any time and he went out and got Michigan in all the right discussions, landed Zach Gentry and others, and he's going to build a Wolverine Juggernaut.

I get the whole instant gratification thing but patience is what we need now.  Meyer and every Buckeye fan are losing sleep over Harbaugh at Michigan and watching it build is one of the greatest things we'll see in our lifetime.  I love it and I hope you do too.

The day is not over.  And this is just the beginning of a new 10 year war.  It's awesome.

Hail!

Very disappointing day but, realistically, about all that could be expected given the total tire fire on the field the last two years and the limited time, and no track record at UM, of the new staff.  I think we are done for the day.  I hope its not true, but I think if Wheatley were coming he would have already announced.  The fact that he waited tells me that he's going elsewhere.  Again, hope I am wrong, but if he were coming with his Dad I think he would have  said that weeks ago.

Well my prediction from yesterday about us getting 1-3 recruits was accurate. The media overhyped our chances in a lot of these kids' cases to get more clicks. That is quite obvious since Michigan has a large fanbase.

That being said, I hope Jay Harbaugh learns a lesson and stops literally begging 18 year olds to come to Michigan. That letter with the mispelled Adidas and picture of him cleaning Clark's tables at school were downright embarrasing. I'm still questioning the nepotism hire by Harbaugh but will wait and see.

This is 2 years in a row now that Cass Tech has sent top UM targets to OSU. That has to change regardless of whether they perform or not. All it takes is one diamond to change a lot of things in the college football landscape.

If Wheatley Jr. comes onboard, then today will be a good day.

I've got second hand info suggesting that Biggie Marshall "probably" will be headed somewhere other than USC.

Can't give much more info other than that. Not enough points to make a full post cause I've been lurking for years but commented probably like twice.
