SIAP: Winovich will dye hair orange for Outback Bowl if $15K raised for Chad Tough Foundation

Submitted by House Mother on

Chase Winovich is challenging Michigan fans to raise money for the Chad Tough Foundation. If they raise at least $15,000 (for his No. 15 Jersey) he will dye his hair orange for the Outback Bowl vs. South Carolina.

'Tis the season for MGoBloggers to be generous anyway.

Edit:  Well other team members have joined the orange hair club and upped the ante. Grant Newsome ( No.77) will dye his hair if we reach $38,500...half his number and Mo Hurst (No.73) will dye his also if we reach $73,000. As of 3:00 p.m. on 12.21 total was $24,177. I think we can do this and have the trio with orange hair.

An orange haired Chase will be fun to watch!  I'm thinking of those laser flame tails that Fox tried out on some hockey telecasts forever ago.  Sort of like mouse tails, only following the puck with a reddish-orange laser streak.  The streak was longer for a harder shot.  Picture that on a speed rush around the edge.

You're welcome...

We held a bowling fundraiser as part of our student leadership group within the KLAA conference last February, and Tammy Carr was gracious enough to make an appearance and talk to our students and advisors about Chad and the foundation.  Difficult to hold the attention of high school kids in most situations, but not in this case.  So impressed by the family's work to bring something positive out of their personal tragedy.

Hopefully this gets a lot of air play by the announcers during the bowl game. Sadly instead, we will probably see nonstop clips of Clowney tackling Smith instead.

I’m adding a donation in honor of some important people to me....keep it going ladies and gents! Let’s make sure both Chase and Mo have orange hair on New Years Day as we bookend our season with SEC beat downs!
