SIAP-Wayne Morgan 4th star
I just saw on Scout that they now have him ranked as a 4*. I could swear he was a 3* just days ago. Any idea how recent this upgrade was?
Are working their Magic!

<br>(OK, I have no idea about the answer to your question...)
Well I was excited about him before the 4th star on Scout, but I love having that extra star to throw in some other fan-bases' faces. Just feels good.
My favorite player is so underground he plays upside-down in china.
But doesn't everyone play upside-down from China's point of view?
Well, your pic is upside-down, so you obviously have some knowledge on this subject. I am inclined to agree with you sir.
Even more confusing: if you take his avatar into account, the same problems of perspective apply. Isn't turning Freekbass upside-down something like a double negative?
I thought it was weird that he'd be the #19 S in the country and only be three stars. Perhaps they stole my thought through internets osmosis
He didn't move up at all in the rankings either, they just gave him the extra star.
Was inevitably going to happen. He was in the top 300 and was until he got upgraded the highest ranked 3-star on the site.
Make your post with authority. If it's already been posted, take the punishment you deserve.
Next time i'll put. IMHBPBIDSIA.
In case you are wondering it means "it may have been posted but I didn't see it anywhere."
I think that next time you should just sack up and post without any modifier (other than perhaps OT). The negs you might get for something that was already posted are a good way of encouraging people to use the MGoSearch and limiting repetition on the board. Plus, once you're over the threshold for new posts, who cares about MGoPoints?
Amen OMG. Fuck this SIAP shennanigans. You didn't want to search and I don't want your apology. Double post like a man and don't look back.
Make your post with authority. If it's already been posted, take the punishment you deserve, bitches.
It's just a byproduct of what this board became late last summer and fall. The first five - ten comments in EVERY thread would be devoted to ridiculing the poster for what they posted and demanding to know why they posted it.
And THAT was the result of the fact that by late summer/early fall, there are no worthwhile topics left, so people fill the board with posts about dogs' anal glands and 37 "How many wins are you expecting" threads.
It was just recently he was upgraded. It was pointed out in another thread in the last couple days that he got it, and I had happened to check Scout the day before that to see that he was the highest rated 3-star.
I think they added the star after they heard the latest Ohio rumors and decided to put a cherry on top.
Any idea how recent this upgrade was?
We are entering a new phase of recruiting obsession. Whereas player rankings and commitment announcement dates once sufficed to tide us over, we have now graduated on to dates of changes in recruiting rankings.
We get it. People are too obsessed with recruiting.
I agree, but that train has sailed.
The addict never "gets it." It's always up to others to point it out.
We very much agree on the ridiculousness of the fan reaction to the recruiting process. But at some point, you can be right and still be tagged as "flamebait." (cough cough SECTION 1 cough)
The the Manatees of the Blogosphere have declared recruiting rankings to be important. I bow to their wisdom.
EDIT: Holy shit man, I conflated you with jg2112, who has been on an anti-recruiting bender for a while. Epic Fail in South Bend. Forgiveness please.
He's got an Alabama to compliment an excellent offer sheet. Eventually, the services had to make him a four star. The schools are the real judges of talent.
I couldn't agree more. I am much more impressed when an Alabama or a Nebraska likes a kid than when one of the services does. Nothing feels better than getting a kid that USC or Auburn wanted, or better yet tOSU . . .
This seems like a completely legitimate ratings jump. Choosing Michigan over Rutgers provides a lot of new data about Morgan's decision-making ability. I'm just surprised that didn't get him to 5 stars.
Looks like Jaleel Johnson got his 4th star on scout too.
This happened shortly after the Wayne Morgan post yesterday. When the Wayne Morgan post went up, I checked where he was at on Scout, and he was a 3 star but the highest ranked 3 star safety. Not three hours later, he was a four star on Scout. This was sometime between 4:30pm and 7:30pm PST.
MGoCSI for the win. You have displayed exemplary skills in the field of investigative recruiting, I award you a moderation of "interesting" for your contributions.
was pretty much a lock for that fourth star, with the offers he has.
It looks like Scout was also changing the position listing for some players. Ojemudia has been moved from DT to DE and Godin from DE to DT. No change in star rankings for either of them. Ojemudia is however now listed on the ESPN150 watch list.
The Scout top 300 has changed a little bit. The only decent sized move for any Michigan commit was Bolden going from 252 up to 237. Not bad.
It would be nice to have a NYC guy in the secondary - adds a different feel to things.
