Wow, what a show!
Is there a video of the 2011 UTL halftime show? It wasn't quite a sophisticated as this one but also really memorable.

Thanks. I thought there was a point where they turned the lights off but I guess not. It's funny - it already looks kind of dated compared to the 2013 one. They keep raising the bar.

They were supposed to turn the lights down for that one as well, but late in the week the AD decided to add a parachute jumper to the halftime festivities, which necessitated leaving the lights on.

All you had to do was go to YouTube and type "2011 Michigan Wolverines Notre Dame halftime show."

Thank you Dave Brandon.
UTL is like the Super Bowl of college football. Everyone wants to be a part of it.

Everyone except Eminem apparently.

You won it.

All I could think of the whole time was what the hell was the big disco ball for? Nobody popped out. It didn't create any cool lighting. Just sat there for 10 mins then got stuck on the field

Several students in my section were quite sure that Beyonce was about to pop out of that thing at any moment. Needless to say they were disappointed.

It actually did have a light effect when the spotlights where pointed at it, I could see it from the field. Maybe it was difficult to see from the stands?

the next UTL will have a rock band playing with our matching band.
September 8th, 2013 at 11:04 PM ^
The MMB will be playing Queen songs and as a surprise Freddy Mercury will show up and sing along with them.

A little freaky, but in total, full of awesome. The music world is less without him being a part of it.

The halftime show was awesome. Not even a huge Beyonce fan but the flashing lights and band's performance was superb. The night as a whole was pretty good of course it helped that we won.

Agree - I don't really care about her music but it was just awesome being there with the light show and everything. It was one of those moments where you think, "Man, it's pretty cool that my school can put on a show like this."

Thanks for posting this. I ran the dog during the halftime and missed this. Wow! Times have changed. Go Blue

Everything was great.....what an event. Need to schedule another night game asap!

Too bad ESPN didn't show more of that like they do the bowl game half time shows.

Under The The Lights?

Beyonce was a total impress the recruits move BTW.
September 9th, 2013 at 10:01 AM ^
And instead of hearing him perform live we get a Beyonce tribute by the band? Anyone else disappointed here? What a blown opportunity to completely lock down the next 5 recruiting classes.
September 9th, 2013 at 10:49 AM ^
Huh? Try that again
September 10th, 2013 at 9:51 AM ^
but that was pretty awesome. More halftime shows at halftime and fewer talking heads.
