...less time for OSU fans to vandalize the cars of Michigan fans.  I'm sure the Ohio State Troopers will still be out in force on 23 and 75 with their radar guns and their tickets for one mile over the speed limit with MI plates, though.

My 2nd trip to the shoe. Wanna talk about solidifying hatred. It was disgusting. Thing is it also did the same for me and Sparty. I ran into 2 (yes 2) groups from MSU who were walking around giving Michigan fans shit. One of them grabbed my uncle by his shirt after he told them to get out of his face. He was put on the ground and we walked away, no more details needed. 4 hours away in Columbus and here they are taunting while their team is getting waxed by PSU. All while OSU fans were cheering them on.

Regardless, i'll be back. I am not letting the idiots keep me from going to support the team when I can.

so you and your uncle got into it with Sparty fans at the biggest rivalry game of the century and no Ohio State fans broke it up?  What did you expect to happen?  I think I personally have been treated worse at (insert any away game.)

My wife an I went in 2000.  It was bitter cold; she wore a red/black ski coat and I wore a yellow and blue one.  The fans didn't exactly know what to do to us outside the stadium.  Two events stick out inside: 1. Drunken buckey fan chastise a dad in front of his kids for not teaching them, "to be good f'ing fans." and 2. state troopers just walking down rows, second qtr and after, just kicking people out.  Unbelievable experience...once.

There are several stadiums I would like to visit but OSU/Horseshoe is not one of them..........those fans are nasty to everyone, not just Michigan fans........trashing talking is one thing, but vandelizing cars and what not is ridiculous.......
So you know all of this because you've never been there? I've been to Columbus twice and had a great time on both trips. Sure you get some dick fans, but you also get some really nice peeps. Lets try not to make judgments until you actually experience it.

Went while in the band in 2004. Playing The Victors at those people in pregame is one of the highlights of my life. However, I can never go back because I'll get into a fight and will be outnumbered. I go into fight mode when I'm around that many of them, and I have to recognize my own limitations.

Also, my quote at the bottom is from the CCHA tournament. I yelled O-H to get the attention of the OSU pep band walking on the JLA concourse and responded with You-Suck much to their chagrin. We beat them the next day to win the tournament.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK!!! Less time for me to get my drink on. It is damn hard to struggle down beers at 8AM after you have gotten in at a little after 2AM... I hate when we are predicted to be horrible.

The Big House is a great home to The Game and so is the Horseshoe. We're biased, of course, but most impartial observers like both venues. Great teams, great schools and great venues.

I like daytime games against OSU, and noon is fine with me because I usually can't sleep well the night before.

It would be nice to be riding a three-game winning streak into The Game.

My daughter talked me into taking her to the game and the Wings-Jackets game the night before.  Luckily we got out of state plates and no Michigan stuff on the vehicle.  An early start will allow us to drive home back east.

I was at the Michigan game last year, and sat in the student section with some high school friends (I was born in Ohio, but moved to Clarkston in 3rd grade where I still live when not at OSU) and i have to say, there wasnt a significant amount of hostility aimed at my direction. I went to the Penn State game 2 weeks earlier and they hated us, especially the students, I thought i was going to die, but most Michigan fans i ran into, even the students were level headed. Any fan base is going to have ass holes, you just gotta pick your fights, if someone is insulting you its not the best idea to yell at them back, especially if they out-number you 10-1.

You can pick that crowd out and avoid them. At Ohio State, there's a large contingency of insane "normal" people.  Had 7 year old girls flip off the bus.  70 year old women moon it.  And ladies in wheelchairs threaten to kick you.  And these are the reasonable ones.  There are ass holes in every fan base, and a large percentage are drunken students...but at Ohio,  you're really not safe anywhere. And it's bad for everyone. I still have relatives in Texas tell me about people who went up for their last game.  I just tell them they haven't seen anything.  Michigan, they hate.
