That sucks. Always hate to hear about a kid putting in all of the work only to miss the entire season.

That said, I find it silly when so many on here say "I would rather beat them at their best." I never wish for injuries, but when we face another team, I want to (1) minimize any upset risk (never forget the Horror), and (2) win by as many points as possible. If we really are a playoff contender, nobody is going to sit there in the rankings committee going over our resume saying , "yeah, they beat Colorado by 78, but Colorado didn't have one of their starting receivers." They could, however, if it is a close call, say, "they really struggled at home and only won on a last minute field goal against a 5-7 Colorado team" Obviously, I don't think one player is likely to impact the result of this particular game, but I am all about maximizing our odds of going all the way in every possible way.

Note: I am obviously not wishing for injuries to opponents, not am to happy to hear about a kid losing a season. Just saying that I disagree with a sentiment commonly expressed here about wanting to face teams that are at their best.

Disagree. I want to be entertained--that is, after all, the point of televising college football. And 12 one-point, last-play, walk-off games is vastly more entertaining than a dozen 50-point blowouts. Not good for the heart but much more watchable.

Disagree. You can be entertained by other games. If you honestly want Michigan to play in 12 last play games this season will not be good, because no team can win every one of those type of games. If we win by 28 in every game however we will be entertained by how amazing our team is.

Tough break for the kid. Watching the Olympics has made me appreciate how hard all of these young athletes train to master their sport. With that being said, even if he did play we would still win by 20. I forsee a 38-7 type of game now.

I feel bad for Jourdan Lewis.

He was already going to play the game with one arm tied behind his back.

Now he's going to have to wear an eye patch as well.
