Anyone have any info on this guy? I can't find him on the recruiting sites. Sam Webb says we are targeting him and we have a decent shot at him.
that is nice bonus change
sorry about the repost
No problem, some people get really pissed about the double posts though. I got hammered when I did it accidentally a while back.
In the future I'd just suggest using the site search on key terms. I searched 7'4 and that was the first result.
I think people get more pissed about "SIAP" than double posts.
It basically says to people, "I'm such a lazy fuck, I'm not even going to try to find this info on my own"
true, but if the OP didn't have his name, it would have been a tough thing to search for. he still should have searched but he may not have found anything.
If you type (7'4'') into the search box, it's the first option. No name necessary.
Oddly enough, I'd be much more patient with people if they were to say:
Translated to: I'm not fucking sorry if this was already posted. I didn't see it, and the odds are that other people didn't see it either. If you did see it before, move the fuck on, and save us the whining.
I'd still neg them, but I wouldn't be snarky about it.
I would be snarky about it but I do it with nothing but love. :)
Also his thread title typed in the search bar would have given him his answer.
......for anyone that can recall and recite that acronym. Very nice.
Fair enough, but the OP could have searched and still said SIAP.
You know you can use that little search bar over there to find out if it had been posted already. SIAP/lazy
It's sim bhullar. He can block shots, dunk, and rebound. His passing is terrible, he can't dribble, no jumpshot and he is slow as hell. It's really bad when the scouting report mentions how many of your shots get blocked, espically when your 7'4.
He has to have a vertical of about 6 inches to get his shots blocked being 7 foot 4. Seems to be a guy that will be an extreme project in college.
Actually, that scouting report you linked says he's a very good passer, has good touch around the basket, and range out to the elbow.
Of course he's not a guy you want handling the ball much. How the F would a guy that size not be slow and suck at dribbling? He's 7'4" and 300+ pounds, name one guy over 7'0" that has ever been considered a non-awful ballhandler.
at the Big Ten level would eat him alive.
he's a high school junior in Canada, so... yeah, probably.
Let't get him and then a very small guard and we can copy the old Washington Bullets with Manute Bol and Muggsy Bogues. 7'7" and 5'3"...saw them play a couple of times.
Here's a pic of something you don't see every day.
We tried that. Look up Avery Queen and Josh Moore. One season of novelty/suck.
Whatever you might say having a really tall guy that can develop given time is useful. Mike Tisdale of Illinois' main asset is his height. Lots of good prospects over the next few years so no need to have all the eggs in one basket.
surprisingly agile. You have to have a very giving nature to get a lot of your shots blocked as a 7' 4" presence in high school, don't you? Maybe just too sweet-natured?
Personally, I have resented so many teams that won with huge presences like him in the middle, I don't know if I could handle it if he played for us, whether he panned out or not. Word is that Beilein craves a big big.
Just Merge the threads that are duplicitous.
Single, if anyone's pretty.
Beilein doesnt recruit anyone over 6'8. He's not coming.
You can count on one, maybe two fingers the amount of great 7'4'' players. Anybody remember the Lanier twins out of Brother Rice? I think they were 7'2'', one was bad and t'other was worse. I remember going to see a game, pitting BJ Armstrong for Rice against McIntyre for CC. The Lanier twins were playing JV and were overmatched at even that level.
I really doubt, he ends up at M, doesn't seem like a player who would fit into Belien's style of play very well.
