SI: Woo??
Well, after several posters postulated that Denard might be on the cover of SI this week, the answer is obviously no.
I was interested to see how we were mentioned given the media fawning over Michigan and DR in these early games.
Never mind the cover curse, after seeing the 4 page article (referenced on the cover) about Tyrelle Pryor, I thought we were going to make it without even a MENTION.
I got to page 89 (of 93) without seeing anything then saw the ANTI-curse -- from "This Week in SI" a reference to 1989 and Ismail's two TD returns against Michigan. Then, on page 90, a picture of DR asking folks to go to SI.com to "check out a wrap-up of the biggest stories from Week 2."
This is about the furthest we could get from a cover curse event, right? Woo! (?)

The curse can't catch dilithium so had he made it to the front page it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

I know this isn't a thread about casual M fan encounters but I'm working from the app and don't know where else or how else to post. As I'm walking through the Charlotte airport I've seen a lot more M gear being sported about the country but in particular I'm noticing as I pass by others and throw out the obnoxious "GO BLUE!" that we all have this new found knowing grin about us. It's different from last year. It's a look I haven't seen since the mid to late 90's. In a word - Nice!

When they did the payout of that issue, Denard was on the cover. However, even his picture is fact, and it made it all the wayto page 89 by the time the issue went to press, just to avoid the curse.
Talk about a team player.

Yeah... I'll admit it, I had a Navarre jersey. It's now on it's fourth (my my count) Wolverine since I bought it.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but Denard was featured extensively (complete with a photo of him scoring against UConn) in an article on the first week of the season in last week's issue.
