Nice to find myself smiling at Denard again. Those four years went by way too fast.
Give em Hell, Denard.

But those four years did not necessarily go by too fast. Those were some long-ass years.
Just sayin'.

Denard is the greatest. I've never met him, but my son bumped into him in Royal Oak.
My son told me Denard was very friendly, humble and polite. He is an amazing human being.

Thanks for posting. His answer to question number 3 got me thinking about some words of wisdom my dad provided me with before my freshman year at M... "if it smells like fish, make it a dish... if it smells like provalone, leave it alone..." dad is super smart.
Anyway, I miss Denard.

enquiring minds want to know. what was your first job, etc.?

The only interesting answer I have there is that I have a Gordie Howe signed NHL rulebook. Apparently the only one in existance circa 1996, but I can't think of many fans who would take a rulebook to be signed by Gordie Howe of all people.
You're up, quiverfull, what's your favorite weight gaining meal?
August 19th, 2014 at 7:00 PM ^
my favorite weight gain meal was a sister ann from pizza bobs, and i'd get a combo, chocolate chip/coffee milk shake.
playing football in socal, it would have been getting two 'double doubles' from in-n-out burger, with fries and a chocolate shake, or if i was at a diner i'd order like a dozen eggs over easy, 3 orders of wheat toast, and a roast beef sandwich. as they say, you've got to eat big to get big.
p.s. when we were growing up downstate my father and gordie were good buddies and the families were friendly. when my dad passed away 3 years ago he left me/us the jersey gordie gave him when i was born, his white red wings (at the time the away jersey) captain's jersey. us siblings donated it to the red wings and they have it up somewhere at the joe i believe.

One side of my family has some ties to the Howe's as well, helping found one of the rinks in St Clair Shores with Gordie and playing on various teams with both Mark and Marty.

Thanks for sharing this, JGB.
I was actually rather amused by the answer to the second question myself - it's difficult to imagine the manual logistics of signing a golf ball effectively, but I do applaud whoever handed it to him for thinking out of the box certainly. Hopefully, they cherish the golf ball because Denard.

I will never pass over watching/reading anything Denard related. One of my all-time favorite Wolverines. Thanks for posting!

If you don't like him, it's proof your soul is rancid and diseased.
