Short Ian Bunting Bball Piece
He's one of the kids I'm most excited to see play in the next few years.

Bunting leads the team in personal fouls. Nice.
Also, dude has a full beard!
He seems rather tall to me.
*Ba-dum-pisssh. Try the veal.
I use J-Date!
Based on that picture, I'd guess his age at 27. He looks solid.
Seems like a white Greg Oden to me--- one of those young guys who just looks 10 years older than they are
Considering the article's mention of his love for basketball, despite not being a starter on his high school team, if he's going to get a redshirt year in football for 2014, and IF Max Bielfeldt decides to transfer after graduating this year, would Samurai Ian Bunting be considered for a walk-on spot on the 2014-15 Michigan basketball team? Or are two-sport athletes pretty much unacceptable at Michigan these days?
I don't think it has nearly as much to do with him being a two sport athlete as it does with him not being that good at basketball. He's not a starter on his high school team. I'm sure we can do better than that with our walk ons.
Jordan Morgan's gonna need a replacement...
play IM basketball. Maybe they don't want them to due to injury risk. I remember when I was a student, some of the football players would really tear up the IM league.
I remember seeing some of players messing around with im sports as well. Nevertheless, given the state of knee ligament tears lets hope it is now verboten.
We are going to need all the toughness he can muster this year if Butt doesn't make a quick recovery. I like this though. I think some of the worry about Bunting has been that he is more a big and slow receiver playing tight end. It seems like this article at least implies that he has the toughness and fire to be a tight end.
Bunting seriously doesn't know who Toshiro Mifune is?
*quickly googles Toshiro Mifune*
“I will definitely miss it,” Bunting said. “There is no way I am not playing basketball, some how, some way. I will find a way to play, even if it’s pickup with friends.”
From the videos that exist on YouTube, mainly in the form of old recruiting videos (by old, I mean 2011-12 in this case - couldn't find anything more recent), he seems like a pretty solid basketball player too. All the same, glad to have all 6'7" of Ian Bunting on the football team.
that he doesn't start for his HS Basketball team, at 6'6"? I googled the kid starting in front of him and he has offers from Toledo and Northern Illinois.
I thought I heard he was mostly a blocking TE for his team this year, had few catches.
LOL Ian Bunting and short in the same sentence
