Anyone else think they're great?
Kinda drove me crazy as I thought there were penalty flags on the field at times.
Really cool but also confused me, I thought they were flags too. Still cool. The lax team just got the same ones in white and yellow and they are really dope as well.
Now I'm sort of wistful that I don't have vision strong enough to have been confused by the shoes. They looked a bit different to me but I guess the peepers are starting to go.
It wasn't like it took away from the game at all, there were just a few times where they caught my eye. I was at the game so I'm not sure how they looked on TV.
I was too but could only see the m when they were on the big boards
I loved em!!!
I was way too into the amazing game to even notice. Now that you point it out though, they are pretty awesome.
Clown shoes was my first thought when I saw them on TV.
Clown shoes was my first thought too. They look really stupid.
Michigan has long worn simple black shoes, almost a tradition.
Other than Bo letting Billy Taylor wear Blue w/Maize piping Pumas, you're right.
Rather them fiddle with the shoes and socks than the jerseys(z) and helmets(z). Even though I think there will be bowl game uniformz.
And Final Thought...
Can get the color of maize right on shoes but not the rest of the uniform? They're like an embodiment of Michigan's football team--can't put together a complete game.
I would like to see a version of these on the basketball team, this season....
Bball team gas sweet shoes this year
At least Nike is Eco-friendly
but remind me of a loss :(
I only noticed Williams' shoes while watching live. My first thought was why? Second was how come everyone isn't wearing the same shoe? I didn't realize we done had them on.
Shoez? I dont think it works as well.
Teams have to have the glitz to attract recruits. New unis every week, Chrome helmets, fancy shoes etc etc. It's only money most schools don't have.
Alabama disagrees rabble rabble
Perhaps they prefer to invest in players more directly?
but they keep trying to fix it.
I just don't see any imagination or sleekness to these.
Auburn keeps things pretty traditional but have much better looking cleats.
but honestly didn't notice until now lol
Didn't notice them during the game, and in usually pretty traditional about most things uni related. But the shoes don't bother me one bit for some reason. Weird.
Hey, idk if they we're the reason we played better on saturday, but you can't throw it out the window.
One of my favorite additions was the undershirt some players wore. They were camo, and said beat ohio on them. Probably a "going to war" type message from Brady to the players. Really seemed like we had that mentality for the whole game, up to and including the 2 point conversion.
It was like we were about to drop the bomb on Hiroshima, but it blew up in transit. Oh well.
Peaking out here
Brady even has a little poking out
I saw some on the sidelines, can't find a good picture though.
All rights to Fuller & Upchruch from the MGoPost
I'll say it: I find the camo trend in sports uniforms to be stupid and trashy.
I totally agree with you. But seeing how this is just an undershirt some of the players, coaches & random people on the sideline that I cannot identify wore as a symbolism of what this game is and means to these players, I was all for it in this sense.
Now those stupid camo basketball jerseyz adidas put out last year were, as you said, stupid & trashy.
Although if the Oregon Ducks had a camo jersey for opening day of duck season or something, that'd be intelligent and trashy.
I find the whole sports and war comparison rediculous. From "The U" wearing combat fatigues to Kellen Winslow calling himself a "soldier" it's nauseating and beyond stupid when taken to this level.
The cleats looked awesome when spatted. (Funchess pic) The close up of them though is meh. That kind of goes with all cleats though.
But I knew this was you again, WD. Have you ordered two pairs of these already? :)
I actually didn't notice during the game. Ronald McDonald was my first thought. Does Adidas make anything that doesn't look bad?
is my first thought. I didn't like the shoes.
Awful. No creativity. Can't wait to go to nike or under armour.
No creativity? How many other teams have you seen sporting those around?
Until I saw this post. I don't give a fuck about shoes. I am sick of fucking losing to Ohio, and losing in general.
I liked them!
...correct color for football cleats is black.
