Shoelace to tie his laces???

Submitted by Firstbase on

RR says Denard may have to tie his laces if the opposition tries to take his shoes off.

MAY IT NEVER BE SO!

Denard says he may pull his velcro tighter, MAYBE.

Regarding your laces, DRob, keep 'em flappin' in the breeze, please.

If opposing players are purposely trying to take his shoe off shouldn't this be unsportsmanlike conduct and be penalized as such?  And even if not a personal foul, couldn't it be deemed delay of game and a penalty for that?

but don't touch the shoes! It got pretty intense in the middle of the pile in high school. I'm sure they are better behaved at the D-1 level.

I would be far more concerned about someone trying to twist his ankle than worrying about a delay of game.

Well if teams are going to start taking his shoes off to slow the offense down then he certainly needs to at least tighten the velcro.  But if it makes Denard uncomfortable in any way, shape, or form, then he should just keep em' flappin baby!!

This reminds me of about 10-15 years ago when our good friends in East Lansing had these spats put over their shoes with little zippers on them.  They accused so many oponents of unziping them that they finally stopped wearing them.  It was probably true because after every play alot of guys had to bend over and zip them up.  Hilarious.

When his shoe came off during the UCONN game i was thinking  it was like every other player and was going to take a little bit of time to put the shoe back on, then i remembered thats DROB, and he Proceeds to put his cleats on like a house shoe… I would think tying your shoes would be better for your overall foot health… But F it , if it aint broke dont fix it now!
