Does anyone know if this will be an annual thing for the seniors?
August 11th, 2012 at 10:59 PM ^
I'm certain Hoke will ask that it be. It's up to the AD and the regents whether they want to pay for a bunch of plane tickets to cali every year.
August 11th, 2012 at 11:06 PM ^
But if it has the desired effect, what they lose in plane ticket costs they'll make up for by cutting spending on damage control and supervision of the players.

provided that the band stays home

it will be. hoke has tremendous respect for the SEALS, and i can't imagine a better leadership training getaway than SEAL training.
August 11th, 2012 at 10:53 PM ^
I think Brady Hoke and Aaron Wellman want to make it an annual occurence.

Always found it ironic that some of our nation's toughest warriors train in one of our country's most beautiful places (Coronado Island)
August 11th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
yeah they should bring them here to southern ohio if they want to train them in hell.
August 12th, 2012 at 12:00 AM ^
Absolutely. I hear the waters are astoundingly refreshing.
August 12th, 2012 at 2:30 AM ^
How is that ironic? Serious question.

Trent Dilfer is no Navy SEAL instructor.

That was SEALFIT - www.sealfit.com
August 12th, 2012 at 12:08 AM ^
I wonder if any organization can schedule training with the Seals.
August 12th, 2012 at 1:17 AM ^
Why do we keep calling it seal training when they spent three days with military personnel but only four hours with SEALS?
August 12th, 2012 at 5:03 AM ^
harsh downvote for a decent observation...
August 12th, 2012 at 10:56 AM ^
All this SEAL stuff is pretty ridiculous and smacks of PR. As if the players really glean that much out of a few hours of "training" on a beach in Southern California. It's a boondoggle. I can't believe fans take this seriously.
August 12th, 2012 at 3:08 PM ^
besides, any SOF training is designed to challenge mental toughness and stamina. I don't know how much your mental toughness can be challenged in 4 hours. Having said that, I'm sure the kids love the opportunity to spend a little bit of time w/ the instructors.

Dear God, run! (Those things are ugly).
August 12th, 2012 at 8:18 AM ^
My goodness, that's the creepiest thing I've seen in a while
August 12th, 2012 at 8:36 AM ^
A bit of Olympic related creepiness that is just too good not to share:

I take it back. You win.

Morris never gonna survive UN...LESS, he gets a little, CRAZY!
August 12th, 2012 at 7:19 AM ^
I thought this thread was going to be about Morris having a summer job at Sea World.
SEa, Air, Land = SEAL.
August 12th, 2012 at 10:13 AM ^
Providing he comes back, I bet he'll try to sneak a donkey back into the states from TJ.
August 12th, 2012 at 2:22 PM ^
naw, he'd probably try for the gal and the donkey.
August 12th, 2012 at 10:15 AM ^
frickin server fart...
August 12th, 2012 at 12:45 PM ^
Yeah I'm almost certain that Brady Hoke and Aaron Wellman coneceived this idea one day, while wondering how they could generate some great PR.
August 12th, 2012 at 4:59 PM ^
I hope Hoke does, don't want our players to be unrulely like the Spartaints..
